Who will get more time with Getzlaf and Perry, Belesky or Smith-Pelley?

I know we have a mutual hatred for Ottawa and Boston.
We are still #1 and 2 in total Cups
We are the centre of the Hockey Universe
There is nothing better in hockey than watching the Leafs playing the Habs.
If it wasn't for our 2 teams $$, the NHL would have at least 5 less teams

But the Habs having our back is just (frank)ing strange

I dont know why everyones all doom and gloom, they've played 4 good games and 2 bad games, and have looked a lot better than last year. meh.
- Bigzby

4 good games

How about 2 good periods

Pacioretty on there is just mind-boggling. USA Today had an article saying that it was the best value contract in the NHL, even ahead of Tavares (disagree) and JVR.
- scotch_tape

We'll take that bad contract...it's the least we could do for our Hab friends.

i think the opposite. Played well against COL and NYR. COL is in shambles, NYR had a million distractions. The other 4 games were typical - outshot, outpossessed, besides komarov no grit, and defensive zone coverage non-existent
- clark_griswold

32-30
32-27
41-25
38-36
24-40
35-24

Like i said 4 were good, 2 were bad.

Pretty small sample size but since we are all jumping to conclusions

Improvements over last year

Clarkson
Komo
Santo
Franson
Percy
Rielly

Disappointments
First line - esp'ly Phil/JVR
Robidas
Bernier - until last game

If disappointments don't turn things around --->fight for wild card. If not, finish somewhere between playoffs and decent pick

Clarkson has been decent in that stretch. Hell, the whole third line has looked good to me.

But I agree, we eeked past the Avs and beat perhaps the worst Hank Lundqvist I have ever seen. Not exactly worth getting out my pom-poms

- TheThrill

Start to worry at the 20 to 25 game mark, until then most teams will be clumped together in the standings.

Note on Saturday night, with 20 seconds left and a faceoff in the opposition's end should never result in a goal with10 seconds left against you. Terrible player decisions.

Because shanny hasnt been around for three straight meltdowns.

But the core is flawed for sure.

- Fakepartofme

I think Shanny is lying in the weeds, learning as much as he can about the team and management.

I think he will follow his buddy Steve and appoint himself the new GM. But now is too soon. Wouldn't surprise me if he was our new GM this summer.

I'd rather win, be a consistent playoff team and have some recent cups than any of the above.

Quit bragging.
- Woderwick

he's worse than asp. Habs could be up 3-0 on the Cup Final and he'd complain about the PP only having 2 goals.

Or he's suddenly considering joining Leiweke in his venture.

Shanny would be an excellent choice to be GM of the Clippers.

What has Franson improved on exactly?
Bernier has played below standard in two games...but his 3rd game was the best performance by one of our tenders so far this year.
Now can he do that again?
The Leafs better hope so.

As long as Carlyle is the coach, there is a good chance at the Futility Cup. Looking forward to seeing how good the Islanders are.
- Woderwick

I think RC will lose his job at some point. I kinda feels sorry for him as he wants the same thing WE want.

He often talks about the compete and we need to want the puck more then the other team blah blah blah. But only the third line is playing RC hockey.

It's a joy watching the third line as they seem to have the passion, and willing to put out the energy it takes to outwork the opposition. We would have a much better team if we had more players to buy into the system.

We have a few guys who think they are STARS and don't want to get their nose dirty hemming the other team in their end.

Not the coaches fault for the crappy play of our D on that goal.
Also, the puck never should have gotten to our end.
