Agreed. Suspension is justifiable. No payment until he is proven guilty would be absurd.

agree with you. when we talk about a coach getting a team ready, it's not just about getting them ready to work and play hard. Babcock's players are always stressing the fact that they're always prepared for everything the opposition does and how there are no surprises. they talk about how detail-oriented he is and how well prepared he is and how well he prepares the team for each individual opponent. that's one reason he's always able to get the best out of his group of players.

I beleive Carlyle and his assistants do the same thing with the players. They watch game tapes on what they did right and what they did wrong. Teams are pre-scouted. the team is told which players to pay particular attention too, who's hot etc etc. What we have to do to win this game. All teams do the same, not just Detroit.

Trouble is, some players have this info go in one ear and out the other. Players making huge money with no trade clauses play their game. Sometimes they feel like playing and sometimes they coast and take the night off Some are only interested in having the puck to score goals and let the other pee-ons go in the corners and get bumped and elbowed in the face. You guys do the work and I will be out here to take the pass.

Funny how the TV announcer during the detroit game said every player looks and plays the same regardless of which line is on the ice. The players there buy into the system and play Detroit hockey.

Our guys are asked to play a system, few are actually doing it.

Nah, he grasps the terminology. Spends a lot of time on hockeyfights.com.. He's one of those guys that could tell you before the game starts who might scrap with who, no matter what teams.

I attend the rookie tournament with him every year and he's bang on with the tough guys.

The worst part is, for 3-4 mins a night, I might just rather watch a fight than what we got. But I'll never admit it to him!
