great win, I don't wanna hear two words about how tired the Sharks supposedly were.

We went into their building dead tired last year and they ripped us apart 9-2 and concussed Nash.

I only wish we scored 10.

I wonder if Kevin Hayes or Rick Nash had to flaunt it in the locker room, Joe Thornton style.

Staal was amazing tonight. Whole team was but he stood out on defense. McDonagh played great too as did Hunwick.

Also, we dominated faceoffs. That's great to see. Our PP has to get going though...

He needed stitches, day to day

Nice win. Defense tightened up a lot. Hayes is gonna be an awesome player.

- rangerdanger94

I've been saying it for days, I really hope hayes stays with Nash and kreider. He's calm with the puck, doesn't panic in his own end, has good vision and is a big body. Also allows us to run a 1A/1B with step centering MSL.

Good win tonight. Without a doubt our best game all season. After tonight I think the team sends duclair back to Quebec and as much as I like him as a player I have to agree with the decision. Duke belongs in the top 9 and as of right now, especially with msl moved back to wing, there's no spot for him. Step comes back soon as well. Let him go back to Quebec and use what he learned in the bigs to his advantage

There's no reason to send him back until Stepan is back and even then I'm not so sure it's the right move

Tough to see where he slots in. Once step gets back, the lines could be similar to:
Kreider - Hayes - Nash
Hagelin - Stepan - MSL
Zuccarello - Brassard - Stempniak
Malone - Moore - Glass
Mueller

I guess you could rotate glass or malone as scratches and bump stemp down and slot dukey in there...and I'm sure there will be more injuries as the year goes on.

I could see Malone being the 13th man and sliding Stemp down

Hedman out at least 4, most likely more, games. Stralman now paired with that pylon Carle as the top pairing. Should be interesting to see if Stralman can actually carry someone inept defensively.

I like Stempniak on the 3rd line. He has a sneaky shot and usually finds a way to get open.

It is crazy how calm and confident Hayes is with the puck with only 4 games of NHL experience on his plate. Can't teach that stuff.

He's got great poise for sure. He'll make it look like he's definitely gonna pass and then when the defender bites he toe drags and takes the puck hard to the net or holds the puck longer to open up a passing lane. Kids gonna be great...hawks really lost a good prospect.

If he continues to emerge as a top 9 Center....Stepan, Brassard, Hayes, Moore is pretty solid for down the middle IMO

Another awesome thing about last night to was how at 39 MSL was willing to take that beating in front of the net to bang home that goal. Great stuff to see.

Hedman out 4 ? how ... I am psyched to see our little Stralman make the jump to
top pair .... I am sure he is not a top pair D BUT got money like one....
this should make G man look even more valuable ...
1st he's been in a top pair for a while ... lets see what happens when the weight
of the defense falls on his puny frame ..... Not in Gman -Staals -Macs league...

1st game I didn't get to watch live, had to watch the replay last night and they finally play Rangers (frank)ing hockey. Great game. Whole team played awesome. Hunwick made his case for 7th defenseman last night.

great game for the foundation.... we looked stable ,controlled ,took long periods of puck control ,wore them down in a 50-50 1st period ...
need some plays like Hunwick to get sparks ... he needed it ,but team needed a bounce of the puck (PUCK LUCK) to get the momentum ...
gotta love...
all the hard work ,they keep coming wave after wave ...not short steppers ,everyone going & 3 hard work type effort goals to win pucks and just get on net ...
Centers : finally a strong game ...faceoffs won ???wow
Mueller 5'11' 2220 fire plug ...good sense out there...
MSL thanks but we lost more than we gained with u up middle ...welcome home ...another clunk from the sweet spot ...gonna bag a few from that lane (side of net) very unexpecting and the rise on it.....
Hayes .... get comfy and start an attitude and watch out with skills and size he has to work with
looks like a game to build on..tues in N J will show alot :
only complaint was the 5pm before dinner as to the 7pm post dinner start /
oh well sacrifices have to be made ...L G R !
