Our other Calgary player Fazleev scores and yes Sanheim with an assist on it

Not looking for specific names, but what kind of deal would you be looking for as a return for trading Coburn?
- MJL

honestly - in hindsight that 3 second rounders in the same draft proposition from edmonton would have been a nice haul.

If they can turn Brayden Schenn and a 2nd into Evander Kane, it might be worthwhile.

I'm not sure I buy the "shopping Brayden Schenn" rumors anyhow.

- Jsaquella

This is what I am hoping for. I'd rather not send him off for myers or bogo.

I think any trade talk right now is just bluster. There's no reason for the Flyers or many other teams to be doing anything. We are 5 games in. The Flyers need to give B Schenn on the wing until at least right up to the deadline if not the entire year. The only player I could see them trading at the drop of a hat would be Vinny if he happens to get hot.
- Just5

This is probably the most realistic scenario.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm not giving up on this team. Season is 5 games old. Not looking to clean house. Make trades if it makes the team better. If it can be done without sacrificing youth. Or if youth is involved, get youth in return. But otherwise play on.

One thing I'd like to see Berube do is change up the d zone coverage scheme. This team just doesn't seem to play man to man well.

- MJL

Speaking for myself, I feel one person will give a long convincing opinion about one or two players and everyone else soaks it up like a sponge. Then moving forward, the new whipping boy of choice becomes the only thing that's wrong with this team.

Yes, absolutely it's too soon to expect the trades that are being proposed. The Flyers to me are trending in the right direction. They're staying with each team, forcing overtime and from there we're hoping for the bounces to fall into our favour. It's not ideal but they're all close games against tough opponents.

I'd take him. Supposedly Brandon Gormley is pissed he's not getting a shot in Arizona yet, I'd be all over that, too.

at some point the yotes need to move a defender for a young forward.

Agreed. I'd be interested in Stone, as well...of course assuming OEL is untouchable

What do you think the asking price for Gormley would be?

I think a second would be realisticly close-ish, and I think I'd be ok with that, even though we rag on the Flyers for dealing away 2nd rounders all the time.

But what do I know.

I'd jump all over it if a 2nd gets it done. I don't have an issue with the team trading away 2nds as long as it has some potential future upside. Not the corpse of Kubina.
