Hopefully they learn from this and get the next one. Maybe it was Cmac bringing everyone down?

Way too sloppy. Like they'd read every positive article about them since Thursday and thought they could just show up and win.

I think there were a few players in particular who didn't turn in much of an effort tonight.

I definitely think it felt like there was some overconfidence there. Like they felt they could out fancy the Pens. Very little fire out of our fourth line too. It just seemed very pedestrian.

First real test to make sure this does not carry over.

I'm at work and didn't see much of it. Can't miss that many PP opportunities and expect to win. We'll get them next time.

Goals against average is 3.00. That's realistically AT LEAST 0.75 too high, and I'm probably being generous. PK/even strength/short handed goals, I don't give a sh*t. You WILL NOT win consistently if you CANNOT keep the puck out of your own net. That MUST be THE ONLY THING they practice, if that's what it takes. Keep the puck out of your godd*mn net, PERIOD. God, the sooner they fire this f***er, the better off we're going to be. I just hope it's not going to take 10 losses in a row, before the light bulb goes on in the press box. I'm sick and tired of watching this crap in our own end of the ice, I really am.

The entire team outside of Halak looked out of sync. I don't know what happened, but they were still down only one but just couldn't get out of their own way.

Onto the next. Get your $#!t together for toronto.

Did they just send us to the Devils game to pad their ratings...adding a few thousand of us to the other 12 people who were watching it?

For a team holding on to a winning streak that was the most listless, disinterested performance I've seen in a long time. Couldnt complete a pass. Held on to the puck too long. Indecisive bs. Its one thing to lose its another thing to lose like that. The shot totals are misleading.

Same crap defense as last year- we seem not to notice that when we score 6 goals, which we now have the talent to do. It's just that it's not going to happen every night- some nights, you need to win 1-0. This was one of those nights, and we have no prayer in he11 of pulling that off- still have no prayer. Still. Just like last year.

They'll bounce back. Defensive play needs work but todays main problem was offense. They just weren't there today.

Oh, we'll beat them, because they're one of the few teams that's worse sh*te than us in the defensive end of the rink. We'll beat them 7-3, and everyone will talk about how great we are again.....but we'll still give up 3.

Not if they play like that they wont. Score should have been 5-1 pens. If it wasnt for halak it would've been.

It's the whole thing, defensively- no one forces the issue. No one blocks a shot. No one does a d*mn thing except collapse in towards the net, unless we have the puck. Same sh*t, different year.

Yet, even with the mess that they were tonight, it was a one goal game. They had 5 power plays. A 5 on 3. You need to score there.
