Nice job by the team to bounce back after a tough loss and beat a good Islander team.

Anyone know why Centre Ice package doesn't broadcast postgame/interviews, etc?

I can't think of a legit reason

I would guess its a rights issue, possibly postgame stuff owned by the local telecast or whatnot

I think they'll be up there with Columbus and ahead of a lot of other teams in the east at the end of the year.

just equally snarky retorts to someone who consistently needs to piss and moan In most blogs about stats that are over his head.

a very solid win, against a good team that was rolling. The PK was huge tonight, great job by everyone involved there. The only thing I don't like is Scuds with Despres...problem is, do you break up the top 4? I don't see how you can, so I guess have to live with that pairing.

Good question, figured we will see him shortly. That, or he will be sent back down, sitting in the box every game won't help any.

And yet with all that fresh air you come here to get worked up about advanced statistics and slip shots in at those fanatical nerds who aren't even talking about them? Oh wait it's all in your head.

No goals from Penguins defensemen through 4 games. That figures to change, which should help up the even strength goals - 5 through 4 games isn't many.

Anyone still think we didn't get enough for Neal?

Like Despres's game, but he needs a good talking to about the penalties. Thought the high stick call was weak, but it still got called.

Not saying to bench him; just let him know it's a big issue and he needs to learn from his mistakes.

I'm hoping JR told Johnston that he's working on a deal so get Harrington ready

I thought he had his best game tonight. His size is a nice attribute along the boards. Looked like a phantom call there IMO.

Still wanted a 2nd rd pick lol... but spalings play is making me smile more... only wish the 3rd and 4th line can help produce some pts... well the 3rd line... we all know the 4th ain't going to score unless it's Megna sundqvist kapanen out there..

3rd and 4th will start getting some, the chances are there every night just need a bounce. I am very happy with the zone time they are getting.
I'm big on Spaling, the puck always seems to be deep in the opponents zone when he is out there. It looks like he is starting to throw the body a bit more to, maybe playing with Sill, Downie, Comeau and Adams is rubbing off on him.

I wonder where the guy who argued with me that Neal would have more goals than Hornqvist went.

Spaling > Advanced stats. Been saying it since the trade. Some guys have something to them and he certainly does. I'm not knocking advanced stats, but it's too early in this new age to determine a players worth simply by possession numbers. The guy is a great fit and will find his true spot in the lineup in due time.

No there was a poster that argued with me that Neal would outscore Hornqvist because he is a "natural sniper". But he seems to have vanished.

I know he copped a lot of flack whilst here, but I did always like Whit. What is great is he has always understood that hockey is a part of his journey in life and has set him up to do what he wants......

He is taking full advantage of that.
