Imagine a bad hockey player using a broom instead of a stick and that's pretty much the gist of it.

Yeah. It's also a synonym for the Paul Maclean/Parros types of moustaches.

No, I'm sure this will never get brought up at all again if Sanheim makes a Flyers roster that includes Brayden Schenn.
- johndewar

I would hope that Schenn isn't that mentally fragile where that would cause a problem.

It's an old link, but yeah, once upon a time:

I remember that. I totally forgot about the 'Duster' comment. "Sits on the bench collecting dust"

Deal. You give us Crosby at 50% retained for VLC, and we'll cut them all.
- jmatchett383

hed be ran out of town before he even unpacked his bags for such a transgression.

I have a feeling Coburn is going to be an oiler before his contract expires.
- Roytastic

It would take one hell of an offer to make that happen.

Who is a better player: Rinaldo or Coburn?

Shootouts
For the second day in succession, the Flyers devoted a decent portion of their practice to shootouts. Their last two losses to Montreal and Anaheim were via the shootout.

Just thought the shootout people would like. See they are practicing

If I'm playing a little armchair GM I could see a trade along the lines of this happening..

To EDM:
B. Schenn or Laughton, L. Schenn, Coburn, 1st, 3rd

To PHL:
Eberle, Petry, 1st.

Hopefully stickwork drills are involved and it isnt just their usual glide in and put it in the crest routine.

Not sure about that unless the first was a significant move up in the draft

For the love of god they are practicing shootouts! Now you want stickwork drills. Come on people.

Yea I'm working under the assumption it would probably move us from 10-15 up to 1-5.

I am not giving up my 1st if we aren't making the playoffs. Rather rework the deal to get an extra 1st and/or prospect or young forward

I have to admit, I never understood the disdain Peter Laviolette appeared to have in practicing it.

He was the coach, and I'm just a fan. But I guess I'm one of those people where if something keeps biting me in the ass, I'd do something to try to make it stop.

I wonder what Toronto would do if Carolina said, "Eric Staal will play for you, so we'll trade him to you. For Tyler Bozak and your 2015 first-rounder."

Do they do it?
