This! Ownership shows they are committed to winning and the team wins and the fans will show. This is not like the team had one or two down years. It's been mostly very bad years. Wang could have shown he was interested in winning without having a huge payroll. I just cannot get on Isles fans or any other fans when the team has been this bad and ownership has shown little care in winning.

Think about how long they've been "that" bad. You have to factor that in. Pittsburgh was bad for what 5 years? Chicago 7 or 8 maybe? We were bad(really bad)for more than 20!

Right and Wang hardly talking and when he did talk, he sounded out of touch and that will only alienate fans even more. Like it or not the Isles have to rebuild the trust of the fans back. Hopefully this offseason and the teams early play is a great start.

It is a great start. Snow did the right thing this off season. The team is competing and hopefully will continue to do so. The fans will respond in time. They keep playing like this it won't take long. They beat the Pens on Saturday that game on Tues is going to be close to a sell out.

With fear of being melodramatic I'll say it sickens(d) me. Hopefully this is the beginning of something special. The fans deserve it as does the team.

I think after the press pass fiasco, he took an interest in ripping us as often as possible. I expect since we've come out flying that he's sulking somewhere.

In the early days, islanderspointblank.com was a great site. It's still decent, but I visit lighthouse hockey first.

All off season on twitter he was islander this and islander that and he was pushing Barroway buying the islanders all summer and since that fell through he has gone silent. Just weird, not one tweet since the barroway news came out

Didn't see the game. Was it a dirty hit? John Scott doesn't exactly have the cleanest reputation...

I know my opinion doesn't matter... but I thought it was clean.

Captain, did you think it was clean? I just saw the quick replay, not the whole play. Looked like a mini cooper skating into a dump truck.

It looked clean to me I just thought it wasn't required to get Grabovski off the puck if you know what I'm saying? I'm all for the big hit, I love that kind of hockey but the result of that play was exactly what Scott wanted. Getting Grabovski off that puck was the least of his concerns IMO. He's a big boy and when he lays into a hit like that it'll cause some damage. Grabovski not having his head up was not so bright and didn't help. I think the refs made the right call but I hope they do the same when the roles are reversed which I have my doubts about.

Yeah, I put Scott with Rinaldo, and Janssen type player. You know they are trying to do the most damage possible. Granted its within the rules, but probably not necessary.

These players really need to have more respect for each other. I'm all for playing hard and looking to hit, but the hit did seem unnecessary.
