the defense seems flat-footed and is not playing physical enough. stick-checking combined with bad turnovers is not a good combination.

During the holiday season, instead of the angel at the top of the tree, Stralman this year. No need for the baby Jesus in the manger, we got the baby Stralman

I wish I had photoshop. You know who would be in the middle of the table at the last supper... Stralman

He turns stale hamburger rolls into pucks, and childrens tears into ice.

Stralman has become your PA Parenteau. Our posters (I think) have finally shut the (frank) up about him.

I like my Anton Stralman to be like 6 pound, 12 ounces Anton Stralman, all lying in the manger, and he don't know anything yet, you know, because he was just born.

Not a lot of blame should be placed on the forwards. Although they didn't cash in on the myriad of chances they had, with the exception of Nash, all four lines generated a ton of scoring chances last night. Halak was awesome in the second period and the Rangers just couldn't find that extra goal to pad the lead.

Then Kostka happened.

As bad as the defense looked, in general, those two egregious Kostka turnovers which led to goals two and three for the Isles, took the wind out of the team's sails.

Not excusing Hank, McDonagh, Girardi and Staal, because all were terrible last night, but without those two gifts by Kostka this game could have been had for the Rangers.

Back to the drawing board but the forward lines shouldn't be tampered with; all looked strong last night overall. Maybe a shakeup of the defensive pairings might be in order.

I thought Girardi looked pretty bad. Has this been the same the last few games? I usually notice how good the guy is. Last night was the exception.

I like to think of Anton Stralman as wearin' a Tuxedo T-Shirt, that says, like, "I want to be formal, but I like to party too." I like to party, so I like my Anton Stralman to party too.

Everyone on defense has looked really bad. It is literally a mirror image of last years start.

Yep. It'll level off once you get some players back. Something I noticed yesterday at the game was Nash coming back from last season in good shape. Seems to have lost a few of his chins.

Fact is if he were on any other team losing him wouldn't be such a big deal but people just love to hate on the Rangers, dealing with some Isles fans today is cause for a headache, plus they've formed some sort of alliance with Devils fans, I feel like I'm being beaten with stupidity from all angles

Only if he grows some 90's Jagr hair to go with it. Then he will be the complete package.

He actually makes me sick more so than any other ex-Ranger still playing in the NHL.

I like to think of Anton Stralman like with giant eagles wings, and singin' lead vocals for Lynyrd Skynyrd with like an angel band and I'm in the front row and I'm hammered drunk!

The good things is all of the issues can be corrected, it be might slower then we'd like but it's not like the other teams have dominated play. We took it to Clb, Tor and NYI in long stretches of those games. The d and the forwards have been making extremely uncharacteristic bad plays in the D zone. Part of it might be the line juggling or just a hangover. Hank looks slow out there, he seems to be losing focus for stretches of games and that can't happen when the D is making mistakes.

We've also played a lot of games already without much time to practice, 4 games in 6 nights is tough when you're so out of sync.

There is no such alliance. Unless you count both fan bases rooting for your team to crash and burn, in which case I'd assume there is a strong alliance between Rangers fans and Flyers fans.

Nash apparently got himself into seriously good shape this summer. It has shown so far; six goals in four games has been impressive.

Nash doesn't look like he's storing acorns in his cheeks for the winter.

Yeah he looked good last night. Definitely lost some pounds and his game is showing it. Hopefully he starts eating like shat and stops exercising soon.
