Should need to take an IQ test before creating a twitter account |

AV did say from the start of the season that Duclair would sit out some games and watch, so the fact that he was benched the 3rd period last game and could maybe be out next game isn't that big of a deal. It is part of the learning process to watch a few games from the press box and see the game from another angle. |

Yea and people will freak, but I wont look to much into it yet. AV said it was going to happen. |

Sometimes it's just good to see things from above, don't know if his play is the cause, I think AV wants to get MSL out of the middle and back on the wing, Hayes play and Moore moving allows him to make the move back |

Nope, can see Malone or Glass getting scratched. It would plum silly to bench one of the few forwards creating anything out there. |

It would also be silly to bench the only 2 players who have hit someone on the other team through 5 games. |

I hope Duclair stays in. I don't think that just because he didn't play the 3rd that's a sign he's not gonna play the next game. I think that AV just decided to go with the vets he trusted because we were down 1 in a "must-win" game. |

I don't think last night was an indication of anything as far as Duclair is concerned. Everything in the third was completely different from the way this team plays. 3 lines, dump and chase PP, sitting players. Like you said just needed to find a way to win. I hope the Marty at center experiment is done though. It's getting pretty brutal. |

Surprising stat, MSL as a ranger has 1 regular season goal in 24 games. Ouch. |

He scored arguably one of the top 5 playoff goals in Ranger history though. He got robbed by Bobrovsky last Saturday too and has had chances. They'll start going in. |

What's the point of keeping Duclair if he continues to play with whoever centers the 4th line and Glass? Also how does this experience do him any good if he's not getting power play time and limited play time in the 3rd period? Just send him back.
Edit: Moments after I ask these rhetorical questions....

#NYR practice lines today: Zuccarello-Brassard-St. Louis Kreider-Hayes-Nash Hagelin-DMoore-Stempniak Glass-Mueller-Malone. Duke an extra
So now he's not even getting a regular shift at practice. Send him back. Bring him back next year when there is a spot for him. |

This is all part of the process haha. AV said from the start Duclair wasn't going to play every game anyway. |

Curious to see jimbos thoughts on brooks suggesting miller could be used to aquire staal. I don't want to bring this poop storm up again but if brooks is talking about it, its at least plausible and has probably been discussed.
Disclaimer: I am not in favor or against such deal. Just thought it was interesting |

Sometimes the things AV does baffle me. I don't see what duclair did or didn't do to warrant losing playing time. Also, how in anyone's eyes does Mueller give you a better chance to win than miller? |

I don't think Brooks meant for Staal. He said a player like a Staal or Thorton, so I am thinking a top line player. If Miller is traded Brooks just doesn't want it to be for a 3rd or 4th line plug or a bottom pair defensemen. |

I don't see Miller getting demoted as a big deal yet. The wolfpack have what 6 games in the next 9 days? It will keep him playing. Right now Hayes is proving he deserves the center spot over Miller. |

Miller has been completely invisible and a irrelevant non-factor since training camp ended. In addition we all know he has some attitude and work ethic issues off the ice. He has skill and grit and confidence but he can't put it all together. Hayes is outplaying Miller for sure so Miller has to work to earn his spot back. A spot in the NHL should NEVER be gift-wrapped to anyone. |
