That's terrible to hear, shows we have big issues
- KreiderBomb

Hockey is a funny sport...in the SCF every game we lost I think we outplayed the Kings. The one game we won, the Kings dominated us. At the end of the day, its about finding a way to win and we did.

at least we won, because when it was getting late there down 1-0 I was starting to contemplate a really high spot in my neighborhood I could jump from.

Don't overanalyze; they are not playing well right now and they know it.

Nothing wrong with silence; it at least shows that this malaise is being felt by the team and they know they have to be better.

I was too stunned to react to them trailing to the Hurricanes midway through the third period.

The power play is horrendous but that is to be expected without their expected top power play quarterback out. There are a few good things to take out of this game though. Lundqvist was strong, that goal allowed was not his fault, extremely flukey. Nash was beastly last night despite not registering a point. The team didn't fall apart after they fell behind; over the last two games they absolutely unrqaveled when facing adversity.

Yes, squeaking out a win over the Hurricanes is not reassuring, but they picked up the win. Style points do not mean much in this league. We all know they are better than this and once they get more familiar with the new players, some players start waking up and eventually, when they get healthy, they should be fine.

That's basically the bottom line, winning. Give me the two points no matter how ugly they are.

Im really starting to like Hayes or wait, is it Tim Hughes Sam confused me last night haha. Still needs some time but he seems to be getting a little more confident and you're starting to see what he is able to grow into.

Unless you are a female fan, looks shouldn't factor into how good you think a player is.

Hayes looks like he is going to be a good player.

What's up with Staal? He's usually in pretty good position to make any defensive play, but last night he looked really out of place in all three zones. His gap looked terrible all game. I hope he snaps out of it because he is the meat and potatoes of that strong d-core being effective.

I don't know, it was the Canes minus their 3 best players, the fact that they go to the locker room and no one says anything is no a confidence builder, Mac has had a horrid start and he and Girardi didn't exactly answer the bell that AV rang, glad to get the 2 points but not with how they played

Haha no I'm not. For some reason the first time I saw him that's what went through my head. Trust me I couldn't care less what players look like. Just thought it was funny.

On a more serious note, as much as I want to see Miller get a fair shot I really could see Hayes taking his job if he continues to progress.

You're probably right, but I just see that as an excuse. He's a professional athlete, what's to worry about?

I think it's also not having Stralman anymore, getting used to playing with Boyle in the pre-season and now losing him too contributing.

Staal will come around, he always does.

You are going to get a time out.
I have seen that done on every blog on almost every page. Unless it was a certain poster from another team that came here last night and reported me.

Not impressed with the team at all last night, but 2 points is 2 points. Big test coming up on Sunday. That should tell us if the Rangers might have gained a little confidence. Best take away from last night, Hank didn't give up 5 goals. Hank looked good.

when Stepan is ready and off LTIR, Rangers will be 1.4 million over the cap apparently.

With Duclair being reduced to 10 minutes last night, I hope it doesn't happen, but removing his 772K cap hit and sending him to juniors and either sending Miller or Fast back to Hartford may be the way they go.

4 more games, Duclair needs to score to stay

Would rather fast go back down. He always has great training camps, but looks lost when he plays with the big club. Really hope Duclair doesn't go back. Kid has a better skill set than almost everyone on the team.

he really does. I'd rather he stay and send both Miller and Fast back. Because if an injury happens they can be recalled easily. Once Duclair is sent packing, he's gone until next year's training camp and that is such a killer.
