you look back, and you have to wonder if Edmonton would have been better off with the guys who went #2 overall the years they picked first:

Hall, RNH, Yakupov
or
Seguin, Landeskog, Murray

granted, the 3 current Oilers have Oiler stink rotting their souls while the other 3 play for decent clubs. but still, given the problems that plague Edmonton, can't help but think that the seconds would have them further along.

Landeskog, Murray would have been better options. Hall/Seguin was a coin toss imho. Hall could very well be as good as Seguin with a guy like Benn playing with him.

i prefer Seguin because i'll take a #1 centre over a #1 winger. yeah you can easily argue they got that one right. but i'm looking at it more like Hall/RNH vs. Seguin/Landeskog.

Galchenyuk instead of Yakupov was almost a given too for that sole reason. They went with the sexiest pick, I guess.

They were much better than Detroit in the first 40 minutes. Bergeron is a beast.

Only person we have that might be able to survive a fight with Lucic is Tinordi, and he probably wouldn't ever be on the ice against Bostons top line. This could be ugly...
