Worst Flyer Ever

Because of how he was as a person, sure

But I'll go to my grave saying that Geoff Sanderson, Mark Cullen and Matt Ellison were the worst Flyers players I've ever seen step on the ice -- no heart, declining ability or straight-up lack of ability

How 'bout the Mike Comrie era?

In today's NHL, 7/32/-9 is a high rate for an offensive defenseman -- a guy like Andrei Markov was 7/36 at +12 last year for a 100-point team, which we all would like Ghost to do/be

Yeah, I agree. It's Tibbets at #1.

Markov is also markedly better defensively than Ghost is (currently).

Matt Ellison was and always will be a better hockey player than Billy Tibbets.

Those guys (along with Calder and Versteeg) were huge disappointments. But Tibbets was the worst player in Flyers history when you add his complete lack of hockey skill to his life choices.

Tibbetts played 9 games. Imagine carrying a slug on the roster for 3 years, paying him 1+ million to watch him get beat to a pulp once a week.

I mean, you think about some of the horrible enforcers we've had (Roman Vopat, Jim Vandermeer) and some of the disappointments (Nedved, Calder, Versteeg, Bryz), and some of the flat-out bums (Randy Robitaille, Turner Stevenson). They all look like All-Stars compared to Tibbets.
