Avg of 37 shots against per game so far. 3 of 7 new D and 5 of 12 new F. All new coachs save 1. New coach running the D. Changes to the system and still 37 shots per game. Only 3 games in so lets give it another 10 or so but really needs to see some improvement or something has to give IMO.

Im not saying I love it we need a better solution there but thinking is he gives that line a big body that can do some of the dirty work and cover the 2 other skilled players defensively.

Winnik is significantly better offensively than McClement too so not sure I would compare the two.

I don't think anyone sees this as more than a stop gap. I was hoping Leivo was ready for this spot. Clarkson is playing way better but I wouldn't touch the 3rd line right now. Booth looked bad in presason but you give him a game or 2 there to see waht happens when he is back.

Looking ahead Stewart as an UFA next year would look good on that line IMO if no one internal pans out.

His line scored 2 and didn't have one against didn't they? Seems to be working.....let's not freak out after 2 games of them together. If it was failing, Then maybe but right not it seems to be working (at least not failing yet)
