Here's a thought for anyone thinking Myers is moving, why would the Sabres move him now and sell low when they have a few years to see if he can play at his rookie level again? How does this benefit them when they have a ton of prospects in the system and 3 first round picks this summer? It's not like they have to get younger and developing a 6'7 defenseman is a better bet at his stage than it is trying to find another one. Yes he's been erratic but it's not like it's going to hurt them to hold onto him.

Buffalo would be rather foolish to move Myers. In a league short on legit top pair D-Men, why would you ditch one a few years before his prime? Especially when he will likely be hitting his stride just as Reinhart and company are just getting comfortable in a year or so themselves.
I wish the Oilers had a Tyler Myers when they started their rebuild.
Imagine if Ryan Whitney had been healthy for the Oilers. Might be a bit different.

Exactly, why move him when the Sabres literally have no reason to do it. Offer a trade that's an overpayment and you might get some talks going but the Sabres have no reason to do anything for anyone else. So a team needs a defenseman? Good luck with that. Buffalo holds all the cards when it comes to Myers and a team desperately needing defense like Philly is dealing from a position of weakness. Tim Murray doesn't care if you make the playoffs or not, so how badly do you want to make the playoffs?
