I'd like to see Johnson play around 25 games, putting Halak in for 55-60 games which I feel is a good number for a starting goalie when you have a capable backup. This way assuming we make the playoffs, Halak isn't burnt out.

totally agree, I just didn't see the worry for the first two games of the season.

if halak is breaking down after two games we've got issues. Last season he played 52 games and didn't get hurt, I'm not worried about it. Now if we go through a month and he's playing a pace for 70 games, I'll be worried. Not yet though. start the season with your best guy, we didn't sign him to sit him.

I agree with you he should not play both of them especially later on the season, except these first two because it's the first two games. You don't sign him to a 4 year deal and sit him out in the season opener or the home opener. He'll be fine.
