Guess old habits are hard to break... The PP still sux. - fvineze
Hoping after some seasoning TT helps us out with that. I thought in the preseason we looked better with him on the PP. |

Liked TVR's game tonight. Hope he keeps getting better. - kissthecup22
I agree. Showed good puck movement and poise. I didnt like Runblad. Still very tentative and frankly looks lost. He takes an hour before deciding to shoot. Richards was invisible. Also like Morin, Car Bomb and Kruger. All very effective. |

How many games for Myers? 1? 2?

The hawks play at a very quick pace. Watching closely tonight, it appears rundblad can't play at that pace. He seems a step slow in every situation, except for shot blocking. He is good at getting into lanes and disrupting with his stick. But if he's the biggest concern on the hawks, then we are in really good shape. |

Was really hoping someone would butt end him in the face during garbage time. |

Guess your boy Shaw's halo was causing too much of a vision problem on that play? |

Rundblad's thinking too much. Its not coming natural for him. Time to swap places with Dahlbeck.
Morin continues to make AHL moves against NHL competition, ensuring every time a short stay in the o-zone.
Agree on Richards... Carcillo was flying, but he won't get that kind of room from most NHL clubs. LOVE Hossa's game. And TVR continues to impress. Time to lock him up. |

Runblad can't skate. Doesn't bend his knees enough, too upright. Very unstable in traffic on his skates. I have said Q and Bowman are not on the same page. I have to be on Q's side with regards to Runblad. He shouldn't be here.
Enjoy Hossa while you can. Does the little things like no other player on the planet.
And did Kane put on a show tonight or what?
Blew another 2 goal lead. That poop has to stop. |

BINGO....Stan's trying to build his 'i find diamonds in the rough' resume. Runblad is not a long haul answer. #NOT

I agree. Rundblad looks lost in this up tempo system. Gave him game 1 as a learning curve. Was expecting a better game today. Rest of the team looked good. Maybe Q rolls him again against the Flames, but he needs to show a little more or Cumiskey will be suiting up. Not worried about Richards. He is still feeling his way. He has all the tools and has shown it his whole career. Glad Morin didn't get dog housed. He has skill and looked really good tonight. Gives that 4th line an added dimension. I like Sharp's solution to the PP inconsistency. Hammer that thing the second you get an open look. Its working..
And TVR looks like a real find. |

Ice time looks a bit better and spread out, but Keith with 27 minutes is still high.
No forwards over 20 minutes, Morin and Carcillo got a lot more minutes than last game.
D-men:
Keith 27:25
Seabrook 23:32
Hammer 19:58
Oduya 15:25
TVR 13:04
Rundblah 11:34 - prd797
Kind of odd that Oduya played only around 16min....Aren't we used to seeing him in the 20min range? That would at least bring Keith's minutes down a bit...Seabrook and Hammer look good minutes wise....and if TVR can be somewhat reliable and play around 15min a game that would be great for cutting Keith's minutes down...Don't know when Rozy is coming back, and even what he will look like...Runblad was a gamble, and Stan lost...2nd round pick in a weak draft, if he is smart he'll cut his ties and move on...either try and see if Dahlbeck can play meaningful minutes, or make a trade at or close to the deadline for a veteran d-man that eat up some minutes, because this will not cut it when the Kings,Ducks,Blues and Wild start coming up on the schedule or in the playoffs |

Oh....and Saad's backhand pass to Carcillo was a thing of beauty..just watched the replay, really filthy pass |
|
|
|
Oh and blackhawks tv has the limo ride...and Shaw is mic'ed up...the guy doesn't seem to stop blabbing....I believe Al said the Hawks could use another guy like him in the lineup, and a few people said Ross is the most similar, but wouldn't Hartman be more Shaw like than Ross? |

Keith at over 27 minutes a game...Q needs to dial it back a bit.
TVR looked fine. Runblad not so much. Sabres looked pretty bad and their goalie looked shaky...going to be a long season for Nolan.
4 in row at home here let's may some hay. Flames up next then the new look Preds with Lavy coaching and finally the Flyers. |
