they'll be dealt together for a case of root beer by (American) thanksgiving.
- wilsonecho91

I don't necessarily think they would be dealt together. That always seems to be the assumption. I think LSchenn ise largely safe for a few years. At least until Morin comes in and starts outplaying him.

BSchenn I could see getting moved if he has a rough year at LW. Even if they did move Vinny, you've still got Laughton. And I don't think Coots is going to regress to the point where they move him back to the 3rd line so Schenn could be the 2nd line Center. So if for some reason they decided to move BSchenn I think it would be as part of a package for a more natural winger.

Here's hoping they both have strong years though.

Curious about Luke's value, his game takes a beating everywhere you read.
- puckhead17

What specific value, not sure. Yea you read a lot. And he was -5 last game. But when you watch the replay of the goals, can't really find a ton of fault on him for it.

We'd be selling low at this point.

If we dodge this Coburn thing, (into short term), I don't want to wait 2-3 more years for the kids, B. Schenn seems like a player out of position on the wing.

I'm sure a few teams would come calling if they Flyers put him on the block. EDM and Car just off the top of my head.

Come on now, Dreger said he couldn't play anymore, (outright), Coach still keeps him at 17 minutes, just saying.
I liked his game with Amac last year, but we only have Coburn & AMac, and ???, it seems

I would sooner move BSchenn+ to a team that needs a center to get us a LW. Only if things weren't working out here of course.

I have a lot of respect for Dreger. But he's full of it on that. It's a long season.

I thought it was harsh too, but man we do need another solid piece.

I know its only 2 games, but when we get an injury, we are really in peril.

24/25 year old defenseman, who shoots right handed, is physical and a 7 year vet and despite his flaws a bona fide NHL defenseman.

Yeah, There'd be interest. How much value would he have right now? Probably not enough to make it worthwhile for the Flyers to deal him.

We knew that before the season started. Even if they were 2-0 right now, that wouldn't change.

I was concerned about LW as well, but I'm not sure after Coburn, & AMac, even Schultz looked steadier than some of the other guys.
Streit is back to getting cute with the "behind the back" passes, and turnovers.

A guy who has played net can also have a bias, or feel protective of a fellow netminder, and will want to deflect criticism. Which can also lead to a loss of objectivity. Not saying that is the case here.
Having played the position does not give anyone an edge in determining if a goal was a weak goal or not. An educated and experienced fan is just as qualified to make a determination on that.
Now if a technique of goaltending is being discussed, then that could be a different story.

- MJL

Then I can say I disagree....having played the position definitely gives one a better perspective to the position over someone who hasn't.....an educated and experienced fan still has to make certain assumptions compared to someone that has done it...just so I'm being clear...I have only played once in a practice on a dare....so that doesn't count.....

Andrew Barroway, who was a bidder for the Isles, has purchased 51% of the Coyotes, per Dreger.

We are a young building team though. No need to move an asset as big as one of the Schenns over an injury. Call someone up or bring in a FA Vet and make the best of it.

I don't agree that an educated and experienced fan has to make certain assumptions compared to someone that has played the position. If you watched hockey long enough, watched a lot of games, and understand the game. You know a routine save when you see one. And you know a bad goal when you see one.

It's funny. When the Glendale city council was voting last year, the prospective owners had moving vans lined up if the vote went the wrong way. Apparently had the vote gone the other way, the Coyotes would have been in Seattle.

Maybe we can just a friendly player swap instead.
