Looking forward to seeing many more slick Bellemare drop passes to Nick Grossmann. Those are bound to translate into goals, right?

Right?

It certainly was a blown opportunity. Even though they were outplayed, they still had a legitimate chance to get a point on the road, against a top team.

The passing was off last night at times. Need to be sharper offensively and on breakouts.

So we did watch the same game!!!!!

I don't like decisions like this. Emery has played well against the Devils and it would be nice to have Mason fresh for Montreal.

No more Marty in the nets for the Debs?

Now I can't wait until after next year when Elias retires. I'm so tired of watching those two.

He's had all summer to rest. He'll be fine.

Gotta watch out for the repeat of last years start.

Why won't he be fresh for Montreal? It's the right move.

Agreed. Goalies tend to perform poorly when used in back to backs

1 more year till Ghost, 2-3 for Morin, 1-2 for Haag
- Marc D

If it takes that long to crack the lineup you might as well write them off.

According to Ob, they need at least that many more years in junior.

Flyers have 10 games in October against Bruins, Devils, Canadiens, Ducks , Stars, Blackhawks, Penguins, Red Wings, Kings, Lightning.

They're 0-1. How many pts out of 20 can they manage to squeeze from that schedule?

I think I'm going with an over/under of 4.

They get 1 point each off the Blackhawks and Kings

They get 2 points each off the Pens and Red Wings

Stars and Lightning are tough matchups for them

Ducks are one of the top three teams in the league

That means Canadiens and Devils, to my mind, need to be Ws, no matter how they get them

I'm a big believer in allowing both goalies to play in a back to back situation. I do not like the move at all. Long season ahead. Let both of our goalies see time early.

I find it easily imaginable that they could be 10 pts out of first by November. That could lead to a very scary remainder of the season both for the coaches and the players.

This reminds me of that same stretch towards the end of last season when the Flyers had a stretch out west against top teams, and how it was going to be the death of them.
