Excellent work -- now we're spoiled and we're gonna want to see this 81 more times

Those games are even better than AC. I will eventually get SoM but I'm gonna wait for the price to drop. I'm nervous to pay the whole $60. I already bought NHL 15 pre-order for $70 and all I do is play HUT since everything else is weak. I want a good fantasy RPG for the PS4 though.

I'll probably never pay $60 for a video game again, I have no problem playing slightly older games.

I'm the same way. Ill look for the older versions for this very reason. Its the discount rack for me.

A lot of strategy ? I will have to check it out for sure and I am not the biggest Lord of the Rings fan but when I saw the commercial I actually thought it looked pretty epic lol
- blizzzard

I think both are mostly action. LotR is more like Assassin's Creed, where Dark Souls is almost like a much harder, much darker Zelda game.

Have you looked at Del Zotto at all? Eye-test looked good, for one night -- realize he was on for the GWG and was getting out-muscled, but there were two guys there; if one didn't get it, the other would have, and that play was effed to begin with

Aside from that one breakdown, the PK did a good job overall.

PP was bad, I agree.

I'm saving the tougher grades for when they go 0/8 on the PP with 2 shorties against.

Me neither. The only games I buy full price are NHL and MLB The Show. Otherwise I wait until they're $45 at most.

Yeah, don't fault him for the GWG... he had his guy, had his stick tied up, can't fault him for not being 6'4 230.

I felt like he played a pretty even game. A couple of errant passes, but other than that, not much to really pick at. He made a few snazzy passes and keep ins that I really don't think many of our other D would have been able to pull off.

MDZ looked a little shaky with the puck to me.

He had three icings, including one on the PP. Read, Voracek, MacDonald and BSchenn has one each.

That's what I saw -- I am cautiously optimistic, after last night. If anything, I would like to see him take a shot on the PP. I thought he was deferring a bit

You thought so? Huh. I remember one of those; tbh, I thought he made a nice pass that was maybe a step ahead mentally than the receiver, who might have been Schenn

My eye test tells me they lost last night because Bergeron made Giroux his own personal Toby.

I wonder if he is still a bit rusty from missing that time due to injury? He was largely ineffective last night and got slapped around at the dot.

I thought the Vinny line looked very good (the curse of low expectations perhaps?) and seemed to have some pretty good pressure.

I think Simmonds with the Coots line is a work in progress. They need to find out what they are about.

The 4th line was fine (minus Rinaldo's stupid penalty) Bellamare seems to have a little bit of pest in his game. I noticed him jawing with some opponents a few times after the whistle.

Del Zotto made some pretty nifty plays to skate the puck out of trouble.

He and Schenn were backing the G-line all night it seemed... so they got a steady diet of Bergie's line. The stats say they had a rough night, but that may have been a function of how badly L1 was getting dominated.

I don't like what they're doing w/ PP2... not following what worked in the preseason w/ Akeson at LW, MDZ at the top of the umbrella. Now it's some semi-overload w/ Amac on the left-point and Coots QB'ing it from the right wall... it was ugly.

fair enough

Grossmann was solid the way he usually is, not noticeable but in a good way

Del Zotto clearly has skills they need

VLC looked decent but I'm not sold he is a fit on the PP #1, at least the way it functioned last season

A couple of scoring chances that stick in the mind, but they got hemmed in a good number of times, and Raffl in particular had a rough night w/ the puck. Still, better than that 10/40/17 line that I hope we never have to see again.

The effort was there for the Flyers, unfortunately, the execution was lacking.

Mason was real solid, outstanding really. He wasn't to blame for either Bruins goal and made quite a few tough stops.

The fourth line was very good. Rinaldo's first penalty was dumb, but he atoned with a pretty strong game.

The No Corsi For Old Men line looked good early, kind of evened out later. Lecavalier and Umberger looked more solid than Raffl, who seemed to repeat his pre-season mistake of trying to do too much with the puck.

The Couturier Line was solid for the most part, but the Giroux line got worked over. Giroux still looks rusty and Brayden Schenn didn't have a good game. He had an offensive zone turnover and lazy back check that led to the game winner.

I thought the MDZ-Schenn pair was good for most of the night, while Streit and Grossmann had some minor issues. Coburn-MacDonald seemed to struggle

They just seemed out of sync especially in the Bruins' end. They couldn't sustain zone pressure or possession and it was usually something dumb-a wayward pass or turning the wrong way-that seemed to get them in trouble. The new found emphasis on carrying the puck in was evident.

By and large it was an encouraging night, Mason really deserved a better fate, but they stumbled and lost at least a point. Hopefully it won't loom large.

I actually thought the first Rinaldo penalty was a little lame but he got caught. The refs could have called both guys but Rinaldo clearly didn't have to react with a punch.

It can never be easy going head to head with both Chara and Bergeron but Giroux was forcing plays that weren't there. I think he might have been our worst player. Giroux was never at fault directly for a goal against but he's gotta be better.

Not very happy with Coburn following a pile up in the left corner and leaving Mason alone on the first goal. The entire team was already over there. If I'm Coburn I let the Bruins win that battle.

As lazy as Schenn was on the back check on the first goal, one of my knocks against Voracek is trying to get too fancy. His little tap pass play wasn't gonna work in a game where the other team was already 10 steps ahead of us. Get everything on net.

We were out worked all night.

Depends on the game, ya know? Sports games are tougher. I bought Madden for $47. Sometimes I get NBA 2Kxx after the season for $25. The only non-sports game I've bought recently was AC4 which I got for $45 but then resold it for $20. There aren't many good games for the PS4 yet. I was playing a lot of free games with PS Plus on PS3 like BioShock Infinite and Uncharted 3. That was great value since I only had the $17 membership.

Exactly -- somebody's gotta shoot, in that scenario. I don't mind Couturier QBing off the wall, but if that's the case, the defense can't not shoot.

It was interesting seeing the Lecavalier get as many defensive zone faceoffs as they did and survive. I do think the line desperately needs a playmaker and I think it's possible Raffl sees the sophomore jinx.

I despise the makeup of this D corps. A pair is out there and I say to myself, i can't wait for them to get off the ice. And then the next pair comes out. I know it's early and hope they get it together, but yikes. They can't drive the puck up the ice with speed and they can't really defend in the zone very well. Great mix
