Michigan has a very solid front 7 on defense. Before Rutgers they were a top 10 defense and #1 against the run. Their O stinks though and their stud RB is out. Might need special teams or D to score. A possible student kickoff strike could help PSU at the start, but BIG night games on the road are tough.

It's a winnable game though. It's not like you're going to East Lansing

Ive never liked Schenn at LW. They try this every year then move him back to center and saddle him with linemates who don't compliment him.

It's infuriating how Couts and Schenn have never been put in a position to succeed. Couts is used against the toughest competition and given the toughest zone starts. Schenn is thrown from line to line and from position to position finally settling in with the other misfit toys.

If Coburn is out for any length of time, you may get your wish.

So I guess I should just watch the last 5 mins or so of the 2nd period and skip the rest

I don't think there is anything you can do. 6-5, 220-pound defensemen who can skate and play 22 minutes a night....(frank), that might be more rare than optimism after a Flyers loss

I saw where Hexy said something to the effect that Coburn is on the shelf for awhile.

I think we'll see someone like Brandon Manning or Mark Alt first, though.

Absolutely winnable. Just not a slam dunk like it should be. I do expect PSU's defense to dominate the Michigan O.

Blaming Berube for this is like blaming Ryne Sandberg for the Phillies.

Maybe a badly timed comment. It wasn't necessarily a statement about his effect on this particular game. Just saw the press conference and the thought creeped into my mind again

If your centers are Giroux, Schenn, and Couturier, which one does get the hard minutes against the other team's top players?

Well the Habs are 2-0. Maybe Emery can start a fight and give this team some momentum next game!

If you add balance to each line, they can be used more interchangeably. I'm not saying to just roll the lines, but they don't have to make them as skewed as last season.

In the playoffs, Couturier's line saw 1 offensive zone face-off for every 4 defensive zone face-offs. When you see numbers like that and the QoC he played against, it's amazing to see he had 40 ES points last season.

Can't wait for that one. The SEC West is going to be great football for the rest of the season.
