I would rather pay to take the train to the stadium than pay to park and deal with that mess, even if it is organized and goes well. I go to plenty of events a year, concerts, college football games, etc. and the worst thing about the event is getting in and out of parking.

Anyone that went to the Baylor UB game will know of which I speak.

Here lies another opportunity.

Extend the rail system to UB in Amherst.

Have UB host a major conference team every year and play it at the downtown stadium.

This is really a chance to continue the turn around of Buffalo. The entire concept is to get more people to visit the city right? Hold more events is a way to accomplish this.

As I got older I stopped going to Bills games. The tailgating was always good and I love being at live sporting events but too many people there who couldn't handle their alcohol ruined the experience for me. I made the big mistake of bringing my daughter one year and that was the straw that broke this camel's back. I haven't been to a game since.

If a downtown stadium created a more family atmosphere at the games I would be all for it.

Then again, I live in VA now so I won't be going to game any time soon either way so my opinion doesn't really matter.

I split seasons this year with a guy at work and I totally regret it. I love the Bills but I would trade my 12th row tickets this sunday for a Tuesday night Sabres game against NJ anytime.

Just promise me that the games will be sold out and I can still see it on my tv. Sucks for all the young people for losing the best party in town.

There has been a multi mullion dollar study underway the last 2 years to extend the Metro rail with UB north being a priority. This last news article on it said "times have changed" as far as communities other Buffalo being interested in allowing train service. The story back from 1990 when they wanted to do phase 2 was Tonawanda and other communities basically didn't want a passenger train line that went from a black neighborhood in to their neighborhood and the plans died.

I have a 10-pack in the first row of the balcony. I'm open to discussions in the future if you want to hit me up.

They are the reason it needs to stop. It is embarrassing to me that you will see the young kids doing shots down the line and polish off an entire bottle in an hour.

Last time I was at a Bills game I walked by what had to be at lest 10-12 people passed out from drinking too much in one small section of parking lot.

/end rant.

im at college age but i have an older soul, i found a kid passed out crying in his own puke in the bathroom and had to get him some help. Thats not something to be proud of. Its pretty easy to enjoy yourself and have a good time without being belligerent and out of control. Drink a few before the game but not a case

alright.. i would be what you called a crazy college kid and was in a fraternity (a non gay one), but i don't think i ever passed out in my own puke. i may have done some non respectable things but i never took it to that point where i was passed out puking on a bathroom floor. The problem with those people is that they don't know that pounding a whole bottle of liquor in 10 min isn't good, thats just being stupid..

Also if i paid $300 for tickets to something i would want to actually enjoy it. just sayin

I guess i would have been considered one too minus the fraternity. The difference is I learned from my mistakes, and even then i was responsible enough to know to have friends around that i could count on when i had one too many. Passing out in your dorm room and throwing up in your bathroom is one thing. Passing out in front of 80k people in a public bathroom while crying and throwing up at a public event is another

Here's the thing, it doesn't just happen at Bills games. It happens at all the Darien Lake concerts as well. I couldn't tell you the last time I went to a concert there and didn't see some girl passed out on the floor in the bathroom BEFORE the concert even starts. I just don't get the point. Why pay all that money just to get so drunk you don't remember even being there? or so drunk you're passed out in the bathroom? Might as well save yourself the ticket money and just party in the parking lot, pass out in your car, and call it day when the concert is over.

In short, any venue that's conducive to allowing to you bring and consume your own alcohol is going to have this problem.
