I've been to 4 in the last 4 years... EDC Vegas, Bonnaroo, UMF (Ultra Music Festival , Miami) and TomorrowWorld. Either going to Coachella next year or maybe Sasquatch festival in Washington. No more camping though.

I've heard good things about Bonnaroo, but still seems like something that would be a bit much for me.

I guess I'm just no fun.

It's a rough time there due to it being one of the hottest months of the year in TN. I've been twice, 2010 and 2013, my friends go every year. Lots of drugs there also but not as bad as that last festival. There are so many acts that it's hard to see everyone you want to see. It is definitely worth the money. It was really fun also.

Edit: A camper is probably your best bet. Something with AC if you're not used to the heat.

Timing wise it would never work out for me. I always take a week of vacation at the beginning of July, so I wouldn't want to use vacation time for that so close together. It seems like it would be fun though.

there was something up here like that in vermont i believe called firefly music festival. i think thats the one, anyway they had like 40 different bands over a few days like arctic monkeys, foo fighters, outkast, weezer, childish gambino, band of horses, cage the elephant, Portugal the man, lumineers. Definitely a different crowd though i would say, more for me

"I am a millennial. Generation Y; born between the birth of AIDS and 9/11, give or take. They call us the global generation. We are known for our entitlement and narcissism. Some say it’s because we’re the first generation where every kid gets a trophy just for showing up. Others think it’s because social media allows us to post when we fart or have a sandwich for all the world to see. But it seems our one defining trait is a numbness to the world. An indifference to suffering."

I've been out of the loop lately, save for any major news.

So with that, has anyone heard any news on RJ?

- grand-magus

The Buffalo socialist snooze (aka Buffalo News) ran a story last week on RJ. From what I recall, he is wrapping up his chemo/radiation and his voice is raspy and won't be doing any games for a while. No timetable for his return from what I seem to remember. He's stunned by all the cards and letters he has received.

I was a mess... The first day there I fell out and had to have two ivs. This was before I even had a drink or anything else for that matter. They thought I was taking something. I was just dehydrated. I felt 100 times better after the ivs though.

What's weird is that I've spent a year in a desert and have been to a few other deserts and I never got dehydrated and I worked my ass off 10 harder back then.

Apparently only getting 2 hours of sleep the night I drove down there and not eating breakfast didn't help either.

Fly down there and do the three days of just music. Friday - Sunday. That way it's only one day of vacation or fake a sick day Friday. Lol
Camping is cool but you might not really care for that.

I personally haven't seen a live NFL game since 1998.

The 40 year old adolescents trying to rekindle their college days are enough to keep me away.

If you're a weekend warrior, enjoy but understand you shouldn't nor can you drink like daily drinkers, and shouldn't try to keep up.

Until they do something about curbing the tailgating, my money is spent on other things.

And IMO for those that say tailgating is what makes the experience. All I have to say is grow up. You make it unbearable for others to enjoy it.

Deplores government spending yet will use medicare and SSI.

Love that argument.

That's not government spending. They're using the money that was taken out of their weekly paychecks for 40+yrs.

What is government spending is $50 for a bolt, $1000 for a toilet seat, and allowing government officials to give themselves a pay raise.

Correct but it's not funny when it's completely false.

It's not even good sarcasm.

26. Midway through last season, a really good scout said he thought Mikhail Grigorenko was dangerously crossing into “bust” territory. I kept it to myself; after all he was 19 and it’s too early for that. I followed up earlier this week and the same scout felt very differently. “He’s changed a lot of people’s opinions,” he said. If Reinhart doesn’t stick past nine games, does Grigorenko get the call to come back?

Banety is out with a sore shoulder, and Ekbald is going to Juniors.

How has Del Sol looked for NY?

I may be looking way to deep but i found the scouts(good scout according to freidman)wording interesting. Felt he was bust territory last year, then mentions that he's changed lots of minds, but perhaps not his.

seems like grigorenko's value outside the organization may be split amongst pro scouts.

Whoever said that was probably another jerk who wants to pile on Buffalo. Read another article with 4 different pundits having the Sabres pegged for dead last. Pile on guys, go ahead.
