At least Mase gave them a chance. It was important to get a point and they didn't which is disappointing.

That was just brutal looking. Schenn-as well as Giroux and Voracek-had a rough night
- Jsaquella

Giroux looked like a guy who missed another training camp....

It's early in the season, but Giroux needs to start being the guy who overcomes the comes the other teams top guys. These games are what make me wonder if he really is all that and a bag of chips
- JoeRussomanno

it's early
Give him time
Leading point scorer over the past three seasons
Plus he injured his hand playing grab ass so it needs time to heal

Horrid bounce but they played a team that's willing to back check, willing to block shots .....no more talented then the Flyers but the Bruins play the right way. I guess we wait for three years until they have an above average d man in the lineup....certainly none there now.
- landros 2

Bruins were a little stronger on the puck, and a little better in puck support.

if he really tried he could be a hart finalist and lead the league in scoring over the last few years

claude should be better

I have to agree with you. It's only one game but I didn't really think he did much tonight. He has to win the face offs on the PP.

And compounded it by a weak effort on the back check.

Silver lining: haven't seen them be able to roll 4-lines like this in a long time.
- Tomahawk

Yeah, that was a good sign. They had good effort and create some chances. Didn;t get sustained pressure enough, but a lot of that seemed to be a pass that just missed here or a guy turning wrong there.

It's an encouraging effort. They got work to do, but there's some good things to take from tonight

I'm not saying he's not trying but I need to see our franchise guy, in the lead role, trump the stiffer competition in big games. He did against pit in the playoffs then disappeared against NJ. I don't care if he wins the hart just needs to win these kind of games and playoff series.

There's a lot of good takeaways from this game, not just a lining.

Some things to work on, sure, like breakouts, but I liked the play in the dzone overall and the transition game was much improved imo

The boys were up on their feet more tonight too, which is good.

You figure G will round into form, making that line a factor...Mase was Mase...

It wasn't a bad game by any stretch. The Bruins are a damn good team.

I gotta go with Bergey. He was all over the place tonight. Mase was outstanding, but Jesus, Bergeron was just fantastic

And the Bruins know how to back check.....not every once in a while...every shift.

Great point.

Bellemare got spotted on the first line tonight. I haven't back read and would be surprised if that wasn't discussed.

Disagree. For the most part they played a solid game defensively.

PEBs was a great pick up
Thought Rinaldo was good too, minus the penalty
Did not even see what he did on the 2nd penalty call
NBC blows showing replays of penalties

The Flyers gave a solid effort tonight. Once the offense clicks, they'll win a lot of games with that effort.
