And yes I agree with Bailey gone and Lee staying.

I think it is just a matter of time.

If and when Bailey doesn't perform on the 3rd line of bangers and shutdown guys... he is easily replaced.

Loyalty to McDonald, Bailey, Carkner, Donovan and Strait is ok, all good guys and team players. Lee deserves a spot but he will continue to hone his d in BRI and make it impossible to keep him there. Gotta love all of the depth and competition, even in goal because Poulin is still developing, hopeflully he is well coached.

I usually defend bailey but I dont know if "team player" is the best description for him?

They're carrying a lot of goalies. How's this Injured Reserve guy, I can't find any info on him.

Call me crazy, but I don't hate Boulton in his role...in fact, I think he is perfect for it. The dude skates hard, bangs people around and doesn't back down to anyone. What more can you ask for in the healthy scratch/4th line player?

Also, I'd be a lot more psyched to see Pulock in there over Donovan or Strait, but, again, the great Brian Strait is just too valuable to expose to waivers.

I don't get it.

Anyway what are we looking at?

Conacher-JT- KO
Grabovski-Strome-Kulemin
Nelson-Nielsen-Bailey
Martin-Cizikas-Clutterbuck

Hamonic-Hickey
Leddy-Boychuk
Reinhart-Strait/Donovan

Grabner and Lee have to be worked into the lineup somehow. If Mike freakin' Richards can be a 4th line center on the Kings, then certainly the Isles ought to figure out a lineup that has their best 20 players all in it.

I think Conacher is going to have to maintain a high level of play not only to stay on the first line, but to stay in the lineup at all. I think if he doesn't work out there, he's not overly valuable to the team. I think they're hoping for that Stamkos magic he had to come back playing the JT. If not, I'd rather see a big player working the corners on that line....Lee or Nelson would fit that role.

First of all Mike Richards is a fourth line player because his god awful play and attitude had anchored him there. He has also wanted out because of being a fourth liner. Secondly you keep guys like Cmac strait Boulton because you can easily scratch them. This isn't play station. If Lee and Pulock are in the lineup it should be significant minutes not 4th line or in the press box. Let them be pissed off go down to bport and light it up

Richards has never wanted out. Just a little FYI. He has taken his training to the next level this offseason to try and get his head and body back into the game so he can stay in LA. It was his meeting with Dean Lombardi that got his butt saved from being bought out. Hes probably not going to be a 4th liner this year.

Staples said if Pulock didn't get injured he would have made it most likely.

Currently in BPT to start most likely as a conditioning assignment

Sad, Lee deserves to be there. That kid has some real potential. It really hurts to see Bailey still there

Yea pretty sure I read a report saying richards broke down into tears during his face to face meeting with DL to stay.

Richards committed to bettering himself in training to stay a King and continue to try and win. He said he started to take winning for granted. Just because of the successes of the team. He doesnt want to be a 4th liner. Or a guy who got bought out and gets another deal just on his Resume.

Let's not get our panties in a bunch. The isles will have injuries and Lee will be first call up. Asking for a trade because you are starting the season in the minors is a b!tch move. Anders Lee will get his shot. This isn't the end of the world.

Also, if Bailey or conacher aren't working, look for Lee to get the nod.

I thought it was Sega Genesis.

As for Richards, I think it also had something to do with their awesome depth down the middle and the emergence of Toffoli and Pearson.

Pulock ought to be playing over Strait or Donovan. As soon as de Haan or Visnovsky come back, then I agree, he or Reinhart should be in BPT instead of a healthy scratch.

Lee, on the other hand, 100% should be in this lineup. Whether you scratch Bailey, or drop Bailey or Conacher down to the 4th line and scratch Martin, I don't care. I can't fathom how he doesn't make this team, especially with Grabner on IR.

The Kings, Rangers, Hawks and Habs all got to the Conference finals because they could roll 4 lines better than the teams they beat to get there could. The Isles have the players to form a lineup and roll 4 lines with anyone in the league but they are apparently choosing not to.

"THE 'RAT"!

don't worry. Once Bailey gets on the ice and does nothing, he'll be waived and Lee will be up before Christmas.

Because he will play 8-12 games a year if that. They aren't going to keep a youngster up just to be an extra forward. Boulton was perfect in that role last year

It's not the best team they can put on the ice.
