I thought picking team standings by dart throwing went out of style 15 years ago...

These look to be objective. I mean, philly and Columbus added all that talent in free agency right? Wait... What did either of them add???

I think philly is going to surprise a lot of people this year. Rangers have lost a lot of key pieces andislanders have added some players but nothing big and pitt wont be the same team that excells in the reg season. I mean im hoping for a lottery pick but I dont see it happening .

What are you basing philly surprising people on? Not trying to be a shat just curious.

Well I wouldnt consider nick leddy a difference maker. I wouldnt consider boychuk anything more then a 3/4 defender, an upgrade? sure for that team. Grabovski? oh come on..you consider that a difference maker? Starting goalie? You may have one there. Overall..not too much in terms of big improvment .

If you take away the first month of last year the flyers are a top three team in the NHL. After the horrible start they had the team really picked up the pace and battled the Rangers very hard in a first round series that saw the Rangers only one goal better. The Flyers need Steve Mason and Claude Giroux to continue their pace from last year and if they do the added depth Hextall has added should make this team better than it's been for several seasons. That is of course if they stay healthy. The Flyers defense will struggle, but offensively we should see more depth and scoring from more lines.
- Eklund

They didn't do anything this summer, what are you talking about?

Also I love that you claim the Habs are your second favourite team, yet you low ball everything their team is when it comes to predictions, but you're perfectly fine pretending the Flyers are so much more wonderful than they actually are.

Its the same team basically as last year. We gained more speed on the wing with hartnell gone and umberger in. I still think hartnell would have been better scoring wise but not falling down and pims all over . The d? Kimmo was done two years ago. Yes hes expierenced but really breaking down. I dont think you see this d together the season. Believe youll see one of our top d prospects in the lineup like ghost. goal tending ? thats fine and mason hasnt proved hed falter yet and we prolly would have one last years series againt the rags if he wasnt concused.

hey you remember that playoff series a couple years ago!!The eastern conference final!man what a series that was! oh nevermind...we ran you guys out of the building in 5 also including putting sand down at the flyers locker room entrance to mess up their skates in game 3. Remember that? Bottom line...is who cares about last years standings. they mean nothing.

I do not have a troll account. We beefed up our scoring lines and now can roll 4 lines. Our d is..well...slow but seemed to do very well to get us into the playoffs last year. I dont see a let down and I dont see them worse then the 3rd seed in the division.

He was a 2/3 on boston and wouldve been on your first pairing last year and this. He hits.plays on the pp effectively and is good in his own end. That to me is a difference maker.

Bravo, EK. This is gold to put up on the site and get traffic and replies. I was expecting you to troll everyone and put the Flyers at 3rd or 4th, but 2nd, just amazing trolling. You just sucker people into debating your garbage, and that's where you get your hits...

The Islanders improved their team significantly, which you mention. You say that their D will still struggle a little, but they will likely have a top 5 offense to go with a good goalie. Yet, they're in 5th in division?

The Pens will drop two spots in the division they won by 13 points last year, while suffering the most man games lost? They shed dead weight in Orpik, Engelland, Glass, Vitale, Pyatt etc and replace them with Comeau, Spaling, Goc and others, but their bottom six is worse?

The Flyers replace Hartnell with Umberger, lose Timonen, and do absolutely nothing else, and they move up in the standings??? Bravo to your trolling, EK. Never mind actual facts, just make things up about your team that fit your views.
