From what I saw on twitter it would be a minor procedure. A month or two at the most. Articles that I have read this morning don't have a time table. Some suggest he would miss the World Juniors other say the Flames said its just a bump along the road of his development.

Certainly a small bump in someone's worshipping of him ?

This is what the article I read had said. And since that's not until late December/early January, that's definitely more than a month.

I would also think the Flames are going to try and down play it. They keep saying that he may just rehab it and not do surgery, but this injury has been lingering since last season. Seems at this point that rehab isn't really helping.

Maybe this injury was a factor in the Sabres not considering him.

I know when the Worlds are and the time table that comes along with that. Just going with what I saw on twitter from reporters.

If its a few months that hurts but if I were the Flames I would rather have a healthy Bennett.

I would think that's what the want as well. Which is why I feel like they need to just bite the bullet and recommend he gets the surgery.

The other part that stinks is that when guys end up with shoulder injuries, they tend to be reoccurring. So surgery or not, this is probably something that's going to haunt him his entire career.

I trust all is well... You didnt change your profile - which is understandable, but confused my feeble mind this morning.

On the other hand. I read this:

Should Sam Bennett indeed need surgery to fix his shoulder he will miss out on a lot this season including another chance to play for team Canada at the World Juniors. A season off could put his development behind the eight-ball for the next couple of seasons. When Ryan Nugent-Hopkins returned from his shoulder surgery he was not the same player he once appeared to be on the ice.

I am still in denial about my location...

I didn't think moving would be as difficult on me as it has been especially lately. College hockey season is starting, the Bills news, and hockey season starts today (Sabres tomorrow of course) it is making me home. However it is 81 degrees out here already.

Saw a cute little quote on facebook today . My favorite radio station is 97.3 boom FM out of Toronto.
They posted this to day .

There is good news and bad news . The good news is the NHL season starts today . The bad news is the Leafs have been mathematically eliminated from the playoffs.

It's not the snow its the people.

Everyone that I ref with are posting pictures of new rinks (RIT and inside the Harbor Center) I didn't think it was going to hit me as hard as it has...

Okay enough emotional crap.

First Sabres fight of the year?? My guess Ted Nolan and Sullivan!!

Jake McCabe was put on IR, so they didn't need to make any moves. Whatever his "maintenance" day was for a few days ago, I guess. According to Kevin Sylvester on the radio yesterday.

Kinda makes me wonder if a team facing some cap issues or something could just say oh yeah...so and so..."lower body injury" to buy time.

Not a long term solution or I guess Boston would have done that with Boychuck. Claude Julien would just say "he suffered a lower body injury today in our "diving" drills, today. He was working with our stunt coordinator, on refining the "swan dive", when Marchant sprayed him in the face from the bench with gatorade and after a tremendous "flailing ragdoll" found his nuts impaled on Milan Lucic's stick.......he'll miss a few weeks."

I know this all too well. These are the days I wish I was home, but then when I realize I don't have to shovel, wake up early to start my car, or really worry about heating bills, life isn't all that bad.
