Ennis isn't a leader but Myers is. If you do not know that by now you must not have watched him play on the ice. On and off the ice he is a role model even at a such a young age.

Some guys just aren't leadership material, doesn't necessarily diminish them as a player but at the same time like you and homer have said they're not guys you want leading your team. In fact a decision like that would have been reminiscent of the 08-12 sabres.

Ennis I like as a lead by example sort of player, but you don't really need a letter on your chest to do that.

If Myers wants to be quiet in the dressing room and on the ice i'm 100% ok with that as long as it helps him concentrate on becoming the player he has the potential to be

Agreed. I am not saying Ennis is the next coming of Chris Drury or anything but he goes out and just plays, nothing wrong with that. Nothing wrong with Myers either. But neither of them are players I want to wear a letter and worry about being a leader on the team. Just let them go out and play their games.

Leaders will make them self known and you will see the ones that will follow and ones that will be rebellious of said captain. Like my boss told me years ago. tell me the problem you see and your solution. No solution ? you deal with it till someone comes up with it. You get no credit for acknowledging it. just rolling with the flow. following your captain.

Weber has been noted as a leader. Sux his falters have diminished the status. A couple years might do him better but that ship has sailed imo.

I am okay with the guys chosen. If I had to pick someone that was homegrown it would have been Stafford.

Myers is in the process of turning his game around and at his age let him finish doing just that then think of putting a letter on his chest.
