On the players you mentioned,

I'd put Ovechkin, Benn, Perry, and Hall over Kessel. Kessel is a less flashy, higher scoring version of Kane and Zetterberg's years of scoring 40 or more are long over. The only reason to consider Zetterberg as near the top five is his completely dominating puck control and two-way play.

correct me if i'm wrong, but doesn't hossa have the benefit of playing with stronger linemates..........especially toews. i was under the impression that kane and toews rarely play together.

if that's the case, then kane is putting up the same numbers, with significantly less talented linemates (no offense to whoever his center has been, but clearly isnt nearly as good as toews)

To be fair, Spatso said Turris is better than Toews (something about 5 on 5 play), so Toews is really dropping

I chose Hossa over him. Both had very similar even strength production and Hossa can give you more defensively.

There literally isn't a game situation where you wouldn't want Hossa on the ice for it.

Patrick Kane is probably #1 on the aesthetically pleasing to watch list among wingers.

How can anyone put OV in any top five. It is not possible. He is such a liability, yeah he can score when he takes 400 shots year. He cant and doesn't play defense. He is so overrated. Capitals will never win if OV is playing top line minutes. He needs to be demoted to third line and power play specialist for them to succeed.
