I remember him really turning heads a few years ago in traverse city.. Since then hes really has digressed quite a bit - TrueBlue9182
He had an overachieving year, got our hopes up a bit. To be fair, everybody was shocked he did so well, and his draft scouting report had him as a marginal NHLer. Add him to the list with Grachev of overhyped players who never should have been celebrated as much as they were. |

Every decision made, to forge the new leadership group, was right on the money.

Rangers Report @rangersreport 2m2 minutes ago
Sounds as if Kevin Hayes will start the season on IR, so the Rangers will have their 23-man roster, including Mueller. |

Is it official because there are reports saying Hayes shoulder is ok? |

Hayes said he'll be out of the non contact tomorrow @ practice, so I guess IR may have to wait. |

#NYR four As - Staal, Girardi, St. Louis, Stepan - will rotate home/away, F/D each game. St. Louis will be constant till Stepan is healthy. |

I believe you can put someone on IR retroactive to an earlier date. |

Interesting. So no matter the swapping of Centers and stuff, AV likes these pairings. I never assumed Kreider and Nash as a locked-in paring.

Damn right, with Stepan out he sees this as his chance to earn a spot. Don't think he wants to let this opportunity pass. |

I was never the biggest Nash-Kreider fan. Kreider always seems defer to Nash to much. Kind of wanted to see them split up to start. |

More great assessments of the Rangers going into this season
"The Rangers overachieved to reach the Stanley Cup Final last spring, lifted by the superb efforts of goalie Henrik Lundqvist and several now-departed role players"
No mention of St. Louis, Kreider, Brassard, Zuccarello, Mcdonagh, or any other player that was key to their run |

Yeah brian boyle and stralman. Two guys that (when they played for the rangers) we're looked at as super overrated. But now that they've left thier absence is the reason the rangers will flop this year.
Such a joke.

Who cares? People can believe whatever they want, and it will be up to the Rangers to prove them wrong. And, hopefully the perceived lack of respect gives them a little more motivation.

Ek has the Flyers finishing 2nd and the Rangers 4th in the divions...not surprising haha |

Not sure I really like this lineup. I think Hagelin is more suited for the third line whereas Duclair should be seeing top 6 minutes |

His reasoning "if you take out the Flyers first month of the season" is fantastic. If you took out the Rangers first month they would have run away with the east |

Seems from the interview at least AV thinks the top 3 lines will see relatively even minutes 5-5.
He said as long as duclair plays in the top 9 he'll be with the rangers. |

AV to Francesa on Duclair: "In all my years, I've rarely seen a young player with the vision, and the speed, and the hands." High praise. |
