I understand being positive about the playoffs but the predictions that they'll win the division are a bit ambitious. They need to really improve in some areas for that to happen.

I think people are really overstating Boston losing it. Chara may be slowing down, but he was a (frank)ing All-Star and Norris nominee last season, it isn't like he just became a scrub. Hamilton will be given more time and looks poised to begin asserting himself. Boychuk is a loss, but Seidenberg was out the entire year pretty much and is now back, he was their number two guy.

They look scary, especially if Eriksson is healthy.

People take playoff series results too far. Boston didn't make it to the conference finals? They're done. Columbus took Pitt to 6 games? They might win the metro. Sharks lost 4 in a row? Missing the playoffs.

Hadn't you heard, Domi is scoring 100 points, Gagner 70 in the new offensive revolution.

Wasn't there a 3rd player that was gonna get over 70 points on the Arizona Offensive Dynamos this year too?

I agree, even if they did lose Iginla. Rask is bona fide.

Curious about what "possible" trade the Habs are trying to pull.

Only watched one preseason game but from what I've seen, De la Rose should have Bourque's spot very soon if not right now.

Each time I see Bourque's name on the lineup I say Oh right, that guy

- Not_Yan

"Playoffs" Bourque is gone, we are back to "Almost" Bourque now

Would be nice to see Bergy trade his ass and make room on that 3rd line for DLR/Bournival

i agree that those expecting them to slip to third in the division are a bit overboard. but some kind of drop off, even a significant one, could happen. losing Iginla and Boychuk hurt a bit. and if they scale back Z's minutes, could also hurt them short term. Rask maintaining another .930? all those things could add up to bring Boston back to the pack and closer to 100 points than 120.

wouldn't be surprised to see DLR follow a similar path to Gallagher... 30-40 games in Hamilton then in the lineup by Jan-Feb.

I don't like how everyone on TV and radio is so positive about the Habs chances to make the playoffs.

Something's gonna happen and they'll miss.
