this team looks competitive. the d will struggle from time to time so another vet dman would be nice to have at some point during the season. beaulieu has been impressive through exhibitions. looks like he can be a contributor.

I think bourque will be alright this season. I believe he finally became a "canadien" during the playoffs last season. he never felt at home or comfortable in montreal before then.

sekac looked good in exhibition. if his game translates to the real season, the canadiens will have really lucked out. didn't draft him, didn't trade for him, just spent money. not bad.

all in all, depth looks better than it has been in a very long time. i'm impressed....but, my biggest concern is the defense. if bergevin can shore that up, the canadiens could be a very tough team to beat.

prediction: stanley cup
