I think my favorite song of his might be Mona Lisas and Mad Hatters.

As far as albums go, I think Elton John and Tumbleweed are 1a and 1b.

That is such a great song. Im also a big fan of "Daniel", sounds great on an acoustic guitar

Well I would say I disagree, but it's really just an opinion.

I'll give my opinion and simply say that ACDC isn't even in the conversation of being on the level that Led Zeppelin was as a band. imo

- MJL

Okay fine.

The Ramones are better than all of them. And I 100% honestly mean that. I'd rather listen to The Ramones than any of the 4.

WOULD YOU RATHER:

A) ONLY be allowed to listen to Justin Bieber's "catalog" for the rest of your life

OR

B) The Rangers, Penguins and Blackhawks win the cup for the next 10 years

Accountability. True and real accountability doesn't come from coaches and executives. It comes from players. There's always going to be some games over an 82 game season, where a team just doesn't have it's legs, or has players affected by injury that changes the team. But you see it in top teams such as LA. And it's obvious they have a culture in place there. If you're going to play on that team, then there is a certain way you're going to play. And they won't except anything less then your all. And the players themselves will police that. When a team as a whole truly buys in, that's when great things happen. I don't know why the Flyers seem to have an issue there, and why they have inconsistency in their play. But they do. They need to create that culture.
- MJL

LA is a great example. They even got Gaborik to buy in.

But there is a large talent gap between LA and the Flyers.

Even with total buy in the results wouldn't be the same, at least with last yr and this yrs squad.

Me and my dad do a rousing rendition of Daniel, if I do say so myself. Me on the piano and high vocals, him on the acoustic with the lead

Keith Richards contracted ebola. The virus died. Keith laughed, lit a smoke and opened another bottle of whiskey

They need a Chris Pronger, the guy who can come into a locker room and look every player in the eye and let them know if they need to step it up. But I think there are about 3 of those guys currently in the league. That would be a help, though.
- jmatchett383

It can be instilled organizationally. But the buy has to be there and the players need to own it. It's not easy to do when the organization changes course every couple of years. If the management of the team changes the plan every two or three years, it's harder to have accountability at the player level.

Hopefully what the Flyersdid under the last couple season under Holmgren and what they have done thus far under Hextall becomes a template. No more signing Vinny Lecavalier's because he's a big name. No more knee jerk reactionary trades. Develop an organizational identity for players to be held accountable to.

Jeff Friesen talked about joining the Devils, he said it was like a law firm. The organization, from Lou down, did things a certain way. If a guy didn't buy in, he was gone.

Well again no right and wrong, and it's really just an opinion. I personally can't stand the Beatles and their music. But I would never downplay their immense talent, and their role in music history. There's other musicians that I personally like better then Led Zeppelin. But I wouldn't put them before them in ranking them. Not that I don't like Led Zeppelin.

I don't think talent comes into play in forming that culture. But I do agree that chances are even if the Flyers got to that point, that they holes in their lineup would eventually do them in. But I think they could still be better if it happened.

True

If you had bet me in 1979. that Keith Richards and Ozzy Osbourne would both still be alive 35 years later, I'd of taken that action in a second!

It can be instilled organizationally, but I don't know if you want it to be as sterile as you described. But who's going to command the buy-in on this team? Who's gonna be the guy who can tell everyone to look themselves in the mirror and ask if they're doing everything they can to help the team? Timonen could, but he's gone. If a player isn't buying in/giving 100%, who's there to sit him down and talk, and have the player know that the guy's not to be argued with?

I think the Bruins, minus Boychuk and Iginla, won't be the juggernaut they were last year, at least not early.

Don't know if that means the Flyers get a win, especially if Simmonds can't go, but the B's aren't quite the same team they were last year.

- AllInForFlyers

They have Reilly Smith and a healthy Loui Eriksson up front. Siedenberg's back and Hamilton is a year older and so is Bartkowski and Krug.

They're a lot like us except their kids are in the lineup and they're ten times better at every position.
