Got to see the new scoreboard in person as well...pretty dang cool! And yes, Ballard had a terrible game to go along with his terrible camp/preseason. If Dumba and Folin do not make this team, something is horribly wrong

Like I said, per my observations, I truly believe both Folin and Dumba earned their way on this team, but I got a small sample size during a game. I would be somewhat shocked if Ballard were outplayed and not practice. On one goal, Ballard looked lost. Also, I think I'm done with the Cody Almond experiment. Just throw Brodziak, Cooke, and Fontaine when he's healthy.

Been on record many times as not being a big Almond fan. I dont' think he's even a bubble guy. He's a career AHL'er that might get some up time in a pinch.

Can play center or wing and is willing to throw his body around. Not too many guys like that on this team. Curious to see if he chooses Iowa or Swiss league.
I like the last minute signing of Ryan Carter. Chances are we won't be seeing a lot of him, but he can definitely contribute more than a Vellieux/Almond type player.

Would like to see Nino just tried out on a line with Vanek and Koivu, I just think that with Vanek also being a great disher as well as finisher that nino could fit in well with him. With that I think Zuck-Haula-Coyle would be a great third line with plenty of speed and Coyle to play the boards and dig the puck out on the forecheck. Who knows tbh all lines might change within a few games into the season. Happy for Dumba and Folin hope to see them shine in this league. Can't wait for hockey to start!

Agreed. Having Cooke on that 2nd line makes very little sense to me. Granted, he has been known to put the puck in the net, but he has leap-frogged over several more promising candidates for that line. I think Yeo is hoping Haula and Coyle can regain some of the chemistry they had prior to making the Wild... or was it Zucker and Coyle??
