There is zero chance Josh Bailey gets claimed on waivers. He makes way too much and is signed for way too long for any team in their right mind to take him. The only way he leaves the Isles is if he is bought out or is traded for another player with a similarly bloated long-term contract (Lecavalier, Phaneuf, Semin, etc.).

He's also better all around, faster. I think he deserves to be up at the start regardless of injuries. Lines 2 & 3 are almost unavoidably have 2 center each. Unless Conacher makes the squad. Damn, they need to make a trade.

Strome is also defensively sound from what I've seen. It's an aspect of his game I didn't know existed. They do need to make a trade. Somebody has got to go. It's going to sting a bit Bcs it's not going to be anyone we want to leave but if it's for the right player it'll be worth it.

I don't mind having two centers on the top two lines, maybe we won't be as ridiculously bad on faceoffs as we were last year. I doubt they find a deal for Bailey that isn't a salary dump so I don't expect him to be moved. I think it's time but I don't believe they will do that. That said, I didn't believe they would actually buy out DiPietro.

Add Dehaan and Pulock and there’s at least a heck of a lot of potential on our back end. I would prefer to go with that than have carkner and martinek dressed at the same time like last year..yeeuck.

Maybe Snow and Cappy will tell Bailey not to bother getting on the ferry back to LI after the game...

Pullock hasn't skated since the game last Friday along with Viz and De Haan out, so Newsday mentions Reinhart as in the mix again.

Should be fun to see Collberg, Dal Colle and Ho Sang play tonight.

Just curious, but how many years of underachieving does Bailey get before we're safe to waive him? Because were at five now...

There is zero chance Josh Bailey gets claimed on waivers. He makes way too much and is signed for way too long for any team in their right mind to take him. The only way he leaves the Isles is if he is bought out or is traded for another player with a similarly bloated long-term contract (Lecavalier, Phaneuf, Semin, etc.).

I thought that if he gets waived and picked up the team picking him up is only on the hook for 1/2 his salary, and the isles get the other half? $1.6M per for four years, someone may take a flyer on him.
