Nothing definitive from Q, but it sure sounds like Teravainen's going to Rockford, Carcillo's making the team. And Leddy? "We'll see."

Carcillo? Yikes. As a side it would have been nice to have the cap space and roster spot for leddy - Chicago is under the gun to get cap compliant.

Hearing as many as 7 teams interested in #Blackhawks D Nick Leddy. Chic needs to alleviate #NHL cap space. Looking for a prospect in return.

Too bad the Flyers don't have the cap space to make a pitch for him

Sanheim scores his 3rd of the season in the 2nd. Had 5 all of last season.

I have to ask the question of, how do we know when not to rush a player or when a player is simply ready? In Travis Sanheim's case, he has certain skill sets at a certain position that we need. I'm not asking for the kid to be called up today but I am asking how cautious should we be within the next two to three year?

So just saw the news that there will be no enforcer, to that I say good. Flyers have enough guys to drop the gloves need to maximize those roster spots. I'm still cool with them giving rinaldo some opportunity and i think waiving Rosehill helps offset the downside to that.

Final

Calgary - 2
Edmonton - 1

Sanheim a goan and assist, no point for Fazleev but not from a lack of effort.

I'm still praying that this marks a shift in organizational philosophy and it's not just a paper move.

22-man roster with ~$2M in space available allows them to do all sorts of fun things, like call up Ghost/Hagg/Alt if/when they're ready, pluck somebody useful off of waivers, make a trade where they can take on salary/players, etc.

If Rinaldo can do what he did in the pre-season over 82 regular season games, I'd be ok with him. He had very few "Zac Attack" moments in pre-season. Overall he played very solid hockey.

Can it carry over when the intensity of both teams gets cranked up? Will he still be willing to cover a position and not be a hit seeking missile that just flies around creating chaos? Can he avoid the just a bit late hits that give him such a bad rep with refs? Can he bide his time when he gets infringed upon and avoid taking a dumb retaliatory penalty?

Pre-season Zac was an effective player that brought positives to the ice. If he replaces the Zac we've seen the last 3 years, it's a big upgrade

If the rumors are true, Berube was pushing to keep both Rosehill & Morin, and Hexy nixed it. Hell, just last week Berube gave that idiotic interview where he said he'd dress Rosehill when the other team had a goon. The stupidity of that aside-publicly saying you're going to let the opposing coach decide who you are gonna dress-it shows everyone that Hextall has a plan & will stick to it despite others who are not in agreement.

Pretty sure unless they make the playoffs and perhaps win a round, they will have new coach next season. Hextall is going to want to put his own guy in that spot. He may have been "in on" the choice of Berube, but it was still Holmgrens call and Holmgrens guy.

I'd have no issue with that, personally. I'm not a huge fan of Berube. I am still a bit surprised that Hexy didn't bring in Mark Morris in some capacity. He coached the Manchester Monarchs, which was LA's AHL team and Hexy's job included being GM of the Monarch while he was there. Morris left the Monarchs after last season.

Oh, and new blog
