There was enough blame (and that may be too strong a word) to go around.

I'm not scapegoating AMac here, nor was I last night.

It just occurred that the player Mac engaged with, and covered appropriately, was momentarily left unattended after the shot was taken. Instead of keeping his man and his stick in check, which he was doing quite well until the shot, Mac completely spun around, turning his back to Fehr to see where the puck was instead of keeping his man locked up. He could have merely turned his head to find it, hence the phrase "head on a swivel".

If he would have just continued to keep Fehr in check, the puck would've came to him instead of between his legs with his back to Fehr and chances are better the goal isn't scored. Fehr instead scores the goal as AMac tries to recover by desperately swinging his stick to where it was moments before.

That said, the rebound could have just as easily squirted to Mason's left and jammed home by either Cap standing by the crease and we could be "scapegoating" Read.

Whatever. Just a little too much confusion down low for my liking.

If MacDonald would have stayed facing Fehr, he wouldn't have seen the puck coming back at him. MacDonald didn't desperately swing his stick. He came within a fraction of blocking the shot. It was stick on stick as Fehr released the shot.

How the hell did we get to the point where we are debating whether or not OLIVER LAURIDSON! OLIVER........FREAKING........LAURIDSON, should be replacing Schenn or Grossmann in the lineup.

I had to do a double take on my browser to make sure I hadn't somehow ended up on Facebook or Philly.com and they changed their layout.

There is a certain segment of the posting population that would blame Amac for the goal even if he was sitting on the bench. It is what it is.

You seem to want to chalk it up to bad luck. We're saying the puck never hits Coburn and goes right to Fehr if he isn't scrambling across the crease to cover the guy(s) Amac left open on the other side.

The right play would have been to release Fehr to Coburn, and take the guy that Read released to him. If he had done that, it's probably a routine glove save by Mason.

So Mason is to blame. I KNEW IT!

There's a very small contingent that will never blame AMac, even if he passed it onto the other player's tape, punched Mason in the face, and slashed Giroux in the face.

Why the D, as I stated in my last post, should keep their heads on a swivel.

You know you can effectively tie up a player without losing sight of the puck.

I only blame Amac half the time. I blame him for not challenging on the first goal. The second goal, Fehr couldn't have had a better bounce.

no offense to Rosehill who seems like a good guy but good! and if he clears he can always come back up as the 14th forward

Personally, I'd prefer Rosehill as the 19th forward.
