what's the point of that though? we still have martin and boulton in camp. why bring up gallant again when there's one game left and we have far too many players in camp, with decisions on roster spots that neither colberg or gallant have a shot at?

They're padding their Frequent Ferry Miles account. Charles only needs 267 more round trips to B'Port to be awarded "Honorary Ferry Captain" for a day. Privileges include sounding the horn when the ferry docks and departs and unlimited doritos for his first mate of choice.(no brainer)

Maybe with all the injuries they don't want anybody else getting hurt during the last preseason game? Plus I think they have their minds made up about the roster anyway. I don't really see the big deal about these guys dressing. They might dress Boulton, Martin & Gallant tonight Maybe they aren't happy with a couple of the Bruins players from the other night?

lol, that would be an interesting 2 minutes.

I suppose if they're keeping a large part of our core out of the lineup tonight it would make sense, especially on defense as we're not really able to deal with injuries. It is encouraging to see Pulock skating with the rest of the team, but Dehaan still on his own is a real concern to me. I hope it's not a concussion.

Skating is usually not a part of concussion recovery. They really don't even recommend the stationary bike. If he's skating, it's most likely a good sign that he will be ready to play as soon as his UBI is healed.

it's not initially, but it is one of the next steps back. I believe it's more likely that it's not a concussion, but I dislike that the NHL allows teams to hide injuries

It sucks as fans because we want to know but I understand why the team likes it that way. You want scumbags like Marchand knowing what body parts are hurting or sore and him going after those parts on purpose?

I understand that, but it's interesting that the NHL hides injuries where the NFL clearly lists the player injuries. Lack of respect for the other players I guess. I think I'm just overly concerned looking at our defense without dehaan and/or visnovsky.

Not sure I follow what you’re saying here. Looking at my bengals weekly, I know jones has a tweaked ankle that’s not the same leg as his foot injury, burfict has a concussion and hasn’t been cleared, zeitler has a calf injury and is doing light rehab, etc.

Compare that to hockey’s upper body and lower body injuries and it’s not even remotely similar.

They actually do. It will say Tom Brady Shoulder Probable, it won't say Tom Brady Upper Body Probable. I think that was his point

He meant that NFL teams openly report what specific injuries their players have. IE: high ankle sprain (NFL) vs. lower body injury (NHL)

He has been skating alone, not in practice since the day after it happened, so the initial assumption was that it wasn't/isn't serious. Still not a good sign with his injury history.

Seems alot of players have back issues currently. Didn't they fire a conditioning coach a few years ago when a rash of hamstring & groin injuries were suffered?

Tonight’s game will be streamed live on IslandersTV.

Should be a good game to watch. " Notable additions to tonight’s roster include: John Tavares, Kyle Okposo, Michael Dal Colle and Joshua Ho-Sang."

The only problem with "islanders tv" is its run just like the orginization. Half assed. You cant stream it to your tv. It freezes on my smart tv every time I try it.

its more of a team decision than a league decision. belichick is famous for being as vague as possible when it comes to injures...the internet says so!!!

No it's mandatory for all teams. They get fined if they mislead other teams.

I'm airplaying it from an iPad to an Apple TV and it's working fine.
