The way I see Toews vs. Crosby is you assign their offensive and defensive abilities on a 1-10 scale. Toews is a 7/10 off, 10/10 def, Crosby is a 10/10 off, a 7/10 def. Or something close to that for them. Thats my take.

Well put. I've always been a defensive minded/skilled player (defense wins championships, etc). Linebacker in football, flanker/hooker/12 in rugby, goalie in hockey, dman/midfield in soccer. I think that's why I prefer Toews due to his better defensive aspects.

100% agree on the defense wins championships. Always been lucky to have a plethora of two-way players on the Wings for 15-20 years.
