Now a guy like Yost learned as much as he could and found a way to use it to make sense of the game. But with everything, it is subject to human error. I thought your use of the word Inferred was fitting.

Probably the same for all of you, but throughout my minor hockey years 90% of the injuries we received were playing ball hockey...10% on the ice in actual games.

Pretty much full hockey gear. Shin guards are optional, but I wear them. Helmet (cage), elbow pads, knee pads (latter two optional), gloves.
Goalies wear full gear.

I mean he suffered the last man selected humilation. Gets ridiculed by fans of every other team for looking like a slightly smaller version of John Daly. Gets laughed at for the bicycle riding GIF in the training room. Deals with the absurd Toronto fans and media. Labelled as a one-way player (probably justified) called soft, when he misses very few games

... and yet he doesn't seem to really give a sh1t about any of it. He just goes out and does his thing on the ice. I gotta admire a guy like that.

I do. There's an article on him in the latest SN mag - dude is awesome, he just has no time or energy for the drama/hype/BS that is the media. The writer was only able to interview him because he basically caught him off guard. It's pretty funny how it's explained actually. I have to respect a guy who has the ball(s) not to play the media game.
