You gotta give him a little break..new linemates every (frank)ing game it seems.

Hard to gel...let him settle in and I think he goes back to scoring 30.

- Garnie

Agreed... BUT they don't exactly have any real scoring depth past their first line. That translates to playing against top pairings night in and night out. I think he stays in the 20s until their rookies come into their own and they get some more depth.

So far in their careers:
Kessel .783 points per game.
Ryan .752 points per game.

I agree. I don't think Ryan is overpaid, given a) Where he'll play for the next 7 years and b) the numbers his agent had to work with.
- Pecafan Fan

For sure. 7mil is going to be the new 4mil in the not so distant future.

we have better stats to measure players now..plus minus is outdated

my old rotary phone worked ok... but I dont use it anymore.. I found something better to use now

I just dont get the ragging on a player like Karlsson..he is pretty good

- senstroll

He's awesome. He is, at this stage, a 1-dimensional defenseman, as much as Kessel is a 1-dimensional forward.

I might take your "better" stats more seriously when they actually don't have a whole bunch of people "driving possession" ahead of Crosby.

I fcuking love that term, Driving possession. Can you remind me how that conclusion is derived?

If it is an overpayment... it is a reflection of the reality all Canadian teams face. I am actually kind of glad he signed in Ottawa and didn't bolt to the U.S.

you dont have to take them seriously. When I tell my grandmother that a cell phone is better she scoffs at it also. she likes her old reliable phone that makes her feel nice.

I think Karlsson has improved his D...but he's still not that great in his own end.

Like Gardiner but much better

Zone starts and finishes for a start. If you have a guy who starts only 25% in the o-zone, but finishes 50% there, then "driving possession" would be a great term.

Then again, it may just be for the guy on the zamboni

Wouldn't the Habs need to put Ashton on waivers once he OBVIOUSLY DOESN'T MAKE THE TEAM?
