I was talking about a Blues fan regarding him, seemed he resorted back to his level of play when he was coming back from his injry with the Avs.

With that being said, we could just pick him up and see what he can do. Worse case scenario we waive him and he has to go to OKC and battle all those d-men for a center spot.

only thing is that you cant send him to OKC, he would have to through waivers again, he would have to be your 13th forward to start the year at least

I know that, but there is a chance he would clear. It's not like a ton of guys are going to be in on him.

worth the gamble, I think you claim him now, there is a good chance if you try sending him down at the last cuts, most teams rosters will be set and wont try and claim him.

I think there is some sort of time line but not sure what it is exactly, all I can think of is Zach Boychuk a few years ago who went from Canes, to Pens, to Nashville, to Canes all through the waiver process in a few weeks

So we just pick him up, give him some preseason action and practices, and if he falters, let him go after the time period is up.
