If Edmonton doesn't make it this Season or next year look for players to start asking for trades GUARANTEED.

Nobody asks to be traded from the Oilers, nobody.

They are really good. Top sniper in Ryan. Best D in Karlsson. Top 6 centre in the NHL in Turris. MacArthur is money. And the huge long list of under 23 stars they have will shine through this year. You watch.

Best D in Karlsson.

The guy should probably be playing up front; he was 15th in the league in total shots with a plus/minus -15. Why play defense when you are one of the top shooters in the league and drive your teams offense at every step?

Not to hate, I would take him in a heartbeat but to call him "Best D" is an egregious statement.

Dont rule out Calgary, I see them shocking alot of people. They have quality goaltending. They have a pretty good blueline, I think. Giordano is underrated. Brodie is severely underrated. Wideman is, meh average. Smid is steady, what you see is what you get. Diaz is average with offesnive upside and I think Russell is underrated, along with Eggyland. The offense is going to make or break this team. Young guns are expected to step up. Monahan will step up, hes going to be a star in the league. Colborne is developing solidly too. Stajan is just average, what you see is what you get with veteran leadership. Depth at center looks to be decent, nothing to do cartwheels over. We will see what their development is made of. Bob Hartley preps those boys to play every night.

Everyone thinks "Edmonton WILL break out this year"...NO! They have a bunch of hyped up first overall picks (whom have talent not saying that), but thats it. They lack skill on the blue line. They lack skill in the bottom 6. They lack depth up the middle. They are not good enough like a Tampa Bay to get into a shootout and have high scoring games every night. Scrivens was a product of a system in LA, but the goaltending is an upgrade over last year. Face it Oil Fans, you accept mediocrity year in and year out, and this year is going to be another year of that.
