Yeah, chicks always love half naked chicks.
CC: my gf - eichiefs9
Exactly, I know my wife only comes to the games to see the ice girls and what new outfits they might have, you know for fashion tips.
Actually, she usually makes fun of the ones that can't skate and end up slowing the game down. Happened last night again when the gal didn't have enough strength to keep a constant speed from the far end while pushing the snow along the wall. She almost came to stop because she just didn't have the strength with the added weight of the snow. Kind of sad actually. |

Sorry, cap numbers kill any chance of that deal base. |

Every ice hockey team will be doing something with girls. Whether it be ice girls like the Islanders or dancers like the Devils.
It's a means of trying to capture the female demographic and make them a part of the NHL fan base.
Ecklund is still as non-credible as always. - mike12cambria
Devils actually have cancelled having their Ice Dancers this season (I'm a season Tix holder). I'm also good friends with a former Devils dancer. She loved her job, especially the interaction with the fans that looked up to them, which were mostly the kids who showed up. As for the rest of us, between whistles, it's cool to have ice dancers/ cheerleaders entertaining instead of nothing happening except the same old dumb announcements or overplayed videos on the jumbotron. Most NBA, NFL and over half the NHL teams now have cheerleading entertainment. Not sure how/why it offends anyone if the participants themselves are okay with it and security deals with any issues that arise. The outfits are part of it - cheerleaders don't wear hoodies - they wear usually attractive dance outfits. Is anyone offended at the beach by the FAR more aggressive bikinis anyone would see by the hundreds? |

Again. Trying to understand the "logic" women employ... It's a waste of time. Let them female dog and watch the pretty girls shovel snow. |

Blues want Kadri? Who else? - Iggysbff
Kessel would make a ton of sense from the blues kind of the last piece to there puzzle but are the leads willing. Would be a large cost like Oshie high prospect and a pick.
That being said the blues can pay that and not at all hurt there team. |

Not any more with Lehtera and Stastny. JVR? Had to figure Kessell and Rielly are untouchable, no? - stljam
There is no such thing as untouchable man I hate that saying. If Gretzky can get traded anyone can for a cost. |

Wasn't JVR involved with some trade rumors in the summer? - arichardson22
JVR is better then all the blues lw it would take a massive overpayment almost more then kessel. The blues need a rw the left side of the line is good. |

Lot harder to do in the cap era. You can forget Phil on the trade list at 8mm there is no room at the inn. |

Won't happen. Steen is one of Hitch's favorites by a good margin. he appreciates the strong two way game. |

Even if you did Kessell for Oshie, Leopold, Reaves and say Rattie (leo and reaves going back for cap relief), the Blues still don't have enough room with the cap. Even if you moved Oshie to Steen in the deal, it still doesn't work well and no way Steen waives his NTC to go back to Toronto.
The only way it works is truly monster deal that will never happen...think something like this...
Kessell and Reilly for Oshie, Leopold, Shattenkirk, Reaves and Rattie

You can have Reilly.
We'll keep Rielly though.

Did you even look? Kadri scores ,016 more goals per game, or less than two goals per year more than Berglund. That's significantly better? Really? This is without even considering the role and type of minutes Berglund played last year and the year before and ignores that Kadri has substantially better linemates a good part of the time.
I'm not saying either is better but rather that some scouts will prefer Kadri, some would prefer Berglund. - stljam
23 year old Kadri's ATOI 17:23----> 50 points, 20 goals
26 year old Berglunds ATOI 16:10----> 32 points, 14 goals
Why would we trade Kadri for another Kulimen (albeit one that can play center)? And the Kadri season quoted above was considered a dissappointment by many.
What better linemates? |
