Quick, someone rescue this thread.... I was having so much fun reading it 4 pages ago...
Oilers Suck.
Kadri is better then ________.
I wouldn't trade JVR for McDavid.

Have you guys embraced his skills yet though? If not, we'll take him. - Nucker101
The fact is lots of players in the NHL dive. Yes, Kadri often does, but it works! Why would he stop when he is drawing penalties? As a Leafs fan I love Kadri. Can't wait to see what kind of player he will be at age 27-30... I think he is going to get even better... |

Yeah I never said we were, It would take a ton I'm just saying it would make more sense for us to trade for a top 6 winger without losing a top 6 player than to trade Kadri for Bergland. I said Oshie because I'm assuming he may take less than Tarasenko or Schwartz but maybe I'm wrong. - HealthyScratch6
Don't think any of them are available for a team that believe's it is a cup contender. At least they aren't available for what we would be willing or smart to give up.

I agree with you there. I think he has to tone the diving down a bit with these new rules though. |

Obviously not happening I just said that would make more sense from a leafs stand point that's all. It was hypothetical. |

Has to be Kadri, Lupul won't last in a series against LA or ANA. Kadri can at least dive to protect himself(As a Canuck fan I'd love to have his diving skills in Vancouver with Kesler gone). - Nucker101

As long as it works and the refs are stupid enough to fall for it then that's just doing whatever it takes to win. But it starts to look foolish when the refs catch on. Honestly, I did cringe everytime I saw the Canucks dive. If you're gonan do it once in awhile, save it for the big games or something so you don't develop a big time rep around the league.
I'd say that players in big hockey markets get spotlighted for it more than players who don't play in big markets. That's a nice advantage for the smaller market teams. |

I wouldn't say its not happening... Lets just wait and see if anything happens. No use arguing about who would go where in a possible trade we have absolutely no say in a trade whatsoever. |

Its true. They rarely if ever give a diving penalty without calling the other guy. SO it makes it worth the chance of diving ever once and a while. If you feel a 'tug' you just fall and see what happens. As long as someone is actually holding you or hooking you. What I can't stand is the 'phantom' dives when a guy isn't touched and he goes down. Or when guys throw their head back like they got a stick in the face and the replay clearly shows otherwise... this goes on A LOT with every team!
