The trade makes zero sense for either team really. Leafs need to gain a top 6 winger without giving one up. Maybe some combination of prospects or D for Oshie might make sense from a leafs stand point.

Has to be Kadri, Lupul won't last in a series against LA or ANA. Kadri can at least dive to protect himself(As a Canuck fan I'd love to have his diving skills in Vancouver with Kesler gone).

Yeah I never said we were, It would take a ton I'm just saying it would make more sense for us to trade for a top 6 winger without losing a top 6 player than to trade Kadri for Bergland. I said Oshie because I'm assuming he may take less than Tarasenko or Schwartz but maybe I'm wrong. |
