Upside? He's 25. He was drafted 7 years ago.
- DoubleDown

Well, in his defense, that's when John LeClair really took off.

- WaterBoy

There is no more need to plan. We have been planning a long time.

Too late we did that ages ago. Keep the (frank) up.

Seriously. How many times does a parade need to be re-planned? They planned the next parade in 1968 and Yonge St. is still there.

It's Lupul. Leafs won't be looking at moving anyone else in their top-6.

Unless they're calling Clarkson a top-6 player... in which case... Clarkson+Orr for Backes seems fair.

1. Kadri nearly doubled his point totals.
Kadri
ES TOI 13:39
SH TOI 0:10
PP TOI 2:12

Berglund
ES TOI 13:07
SH TOI 1:21
PP TOI 2:20
Where do you get that 1:40 figure from?

- mykokes

Dang typo in excel..need to stop working and focus on typing..

1:20 not 1:40. (shorty and PP difference)

Do you think Pacioretty has reached his ceiling? Same draft year so I thought you'd have an opinion on him too.

Who is "you guys"?
The only thing I'm "crying" about is your whole bullpoop about typical leaf fans---or only a Leaf fan would think this.

Gotta be honest, a good number of Oilers fans are pretty awful here in Edmonton. Lots of clinging onto the good old years of past, lots of making fun of the leafs, flames or nucks but barely a single moment of introspection to realise that their own team is a gong show. Guess what guys. You had Gretzky, you won some cups, but now its 25 years later. Time to move on.

(I have also met many wonderful oilers fans, but couple a rig pig with a losing hockey team and the results are, well, to be expected)...

I love how you're already assuming this guy fills a role in an NHL lineup.

bet a mortgage payment or more on it. He will be on the opening day roster.

I spent many years living in Edmonton myself during the Marchant, Arnott and Zdeno Ciger years lol. I never had any issues with Oiler fans then, nor being called out as a Leaf fan.

He should be. Glad you guys finally got him over here, and that you guys didn't ship him to boston like you did Soderberg.

There's a difference between making a roster and filling a role effectively.

But would you bet your mortgage payment that he'll be better than Kadri this year? I'm not sure if it was you or not but one blues fans said in one of the first pages that he thinks he's Lehtera is better.

I think Tony, he'll do well in St. Louis. He should've been over here 4 years ago after leading the FInnish league in scoring. But the KHL offered more money.

As much as I like Lehtera, there's no chance he will be better than Kadri. Kadri's more in the Jaden Schwartz/TJ Oshie class of player imo.

Kadri played 3rd line that season.
- 1979AD

Thought he was using 2012-2013 stats which would be the year Kadri and Bozak were the 1/2 Cs by the end of the year. Grabov was on that team but from what I saw was relegated down the depth chart though I must admit I don't start paying as much attention to the East as far as watching center ice games until after the US Thanksgiving sans the occasional game of interest.

By the end of the year sure.....but Gbov was getting the second most minutes among centers from day 1, but most of the defensive zone starts.
You can't be a second line centre and only have an ATOI of 16 minutes.

There is a new parade route: It starts at Bell's Corporate head office in Montreal and ends at Rogers head office in Toronto.

I know it's just banter, but I wonder if some people really think the whole "losers since 67" is insulting. I mean a Canadian team hasn't won in the NHL since 93, and some have never won a cup. So what's the difference between 67, 89, or 93? I'd say if your team hasn't won a championship in over 20 years that makes them pretty irrelevant in today's world.
