huh what ?????? sorry but your reply has absolutely nothing to do with my post.
lets start with the fact that i never said I was a leafs fan, i just love calling out poor troll attempts on any forum and sir you have had multiple fails just in this thread alone
so lets talk trolling then
how does a professional gm in this league not know that they can not offer a player a contract when
.9 Eligibility for Play in the League. No Player shall be eligible for play in the League unless he:
(b) had been eligible for claim in the last Entry Draft, but was unclaimed, and:
(ii) had played hockey in North America the prior season and was under age 20 at the time of the last Entry Draft, and signed an SPC which was signed and registered with the League between the conclusion of the Entry Draft and commencement of the Major Juniors season (except that if such Player had signed an NHL try-out form, which was signed and registered with the League during the aforesaid time period, then the deadline for signing and registering with the League an SPC with such try-out Club shall be the commencement of the NHL Season). - 1theNex[...]
(iv) The words “eligible for claim in the last Entry Draft” in subparagraph (b) above mean “eligible for claim in all rounds of the last Entry Draft.” The words “the prior season” in subparagraph (i), (ii) and (iii) above mean “a full season prior to the last Entry Draft.”
yup that's right direct from the cba you would think Mac-t might have known this
just baffles the mind !!
oh snap

Selective stat selection here and perhaps unfamiliarity with the Blues, at least giving you the benefit of the doubt.
The year you quote was Berglund's worst from a point per game stand point and considered a disappointment by all. It also ignores his role change for last year.
Look at the full ice time picture, not just TOI. Kadri had almost 1 minute more per game on the PP and a minute and a half more of even strength time. As a result, he had 2 and a half minutes of advantaged ice time (based on sheer amount of players on the ice and ignoring line mates). Again, this is a sheer numbers advantage in that he played two and a half minutes more with one less person to defend against him and his teammates. Said another way, almost 16% of Berglund's TOI was at a disadvantage in players on the ice compared to Kadri.
Who did Kardi play with on the PP? Kessell? Lupul? JVR? As far as power play line mates, those are a lot better than Oshie, Backes and Steen. Who did Kadri have on his even strength wing? Kadri with Lupul seems better than Berglund with Roy for example. - stljam

why would the leafs do this?

I don't think either team would. Just an illustration trying to show the massive deal it would take to move the people some were mentioning.
Shattenkrik has a good longer term contract and is more prove than Rielly. Oshie is a good player and maybe they see big upside with Rattie to replace the known, big contact Kessel. The rest is just filler. |

don't need to Google that's fact now who sounds butt-hurt eh
also ,,if some guy off the street can "Google" this what does that say for the Oilers head office? ..hmmmm - 1theNex
Lol. You act like you knew. But if in fact you did, you and others would have been saying it long ago.
Kind of like the Feaster situation. No one knew until after the fact. Then a bunch of guys like you come out acting like they knew.
Good for you. Gold star. |

Ok, lets go with the season before....
GP G A PTS +/- ATOI
Kadri '12-'13 TOR 48 18 26 44 15 16:03
Berglund 12-13STL 48 17 8 25 -2 16:50
And I know who Berglund is, and i know how the Blues deploy their lines. I'm a Leaf fan sure, but that doesn't mean I'm not familiar with whats going on around the NHL, including your team. |

Not sure what cap geek you use but it works with berglund leopold and reaves then add picks and prospects - jake24242
Cap geek actions - Trade Kessell for oshie, reaves, and leopold. Add prosser to the roster and you are over the cap even keeping porter over jaskin. did you forget to refill the roster spots back to 23?

JVR and 8th overall for the first was the deal. And I wouldn't do JVR for Ekblad anyways. |

Yeah, looking at it that way, I'm not sure I'd move JVR and Nylander for Ekblad either. |

Its the same situation. Lol. It was an obscure clause in the CBA that was missed by Calgary. Same with this one.
Mact admitted they and the agent read the first part of the clause and stopped reading after they believed he met the criteria. They missed the part later down when it said a full season in the chl.
You keep spouting when you don't have the info yourself.

then don't tell other people not to overvalue their players when you wouldn't trade a one-dimensional 60-point winger for the top pick in the draft. |

What's the matter Iggy? A little butthurt? No snappy comeback?
Maybe you can refer to the Toronto team as the "Laffs" again because that is so funny and original. |
