It likely got lost in the shuffle of the "discussion" from earlier, but I wanted to get the opinion and thoughts from you guys. What are the odds of Richards coming back next year? I don't think it's a coincidence that he only signed a one year deal AND kept his homes in NY. He clearly liked his time here and was a pro about how the whole thing ended, knowing that this is a business and sometimes you have to cut salary. Plus we have two of his buddies from his Tampa days in MSL and Boyle. It'll be interesting to see how this year goes for us and if there will even be room for him next year. But I'd imagine Sather will be hearing from Richie's agent at the open of free agency. Am I crazy, or does that make some sense?

It's a possibility.. and I honestly would welcome him back with open arms as would the organization.. It was a business move, IE his contract, not the player.

I can see him winning the cup this year in Chi, coming back here next year and helping cement the pieces to win here. Maybe him and MSL do a Teamu/Saku duo and go out together kinda deal
