reputation ? just put some facts on the table like i do every time i speak

why is this blog against facts ? just like to look at the words on the screen or something ?click some funny faces ?

- Dundee13

what facts have you laid out? All i saw was you saying Duclair is a 3rd round pick which is right. You saying the vets hate rookies making the team because of chemistry isn't a fact.

explain what ducvlair has done to warrant this attention after i outlined a real prospective on training camp/ exhibition games and there value
- Dundee13

Duclair finished 2nd in the QMJHL in goals last year, played extremy well during the WJC Canada summer camp, and was our best forward in Traverse City besides Haggerty, and now is our best forward in preseason.

I didn't even bother to read this because my eyes would take a beating trying to decipher it all.

But let me guess what you are trying to say here: rookies should never play over experienced veterans.

Those that want Duclair here know nothing about hockey and what makes a successful team.

Duclair, or any rookie, is not ready and just because they have played well in preseason doesn't give them the ability to carry that over into the regular season.

Am I close?

MM... not even in the same atmosphere ... your margins of understanding have got to be tightened ,u speak in absolute ,its more of situation were in thing
some teams are using camp to find there team ,rebuilders
we are the top tier ,finals not an accident ,look at the other op teams & find me a walkin 19 challenging any spot for any team ...he's 19 w/ 1 moth of good hockey for him, where was everyone when he palyed OK in traverse series ,same kid ,hes hot now & we are feeding it

Well I would disagree with you that training camp doesnt mean anything. He played against a full Flyers squad, and a decent Hawks squad and showed himself to be one of the best players. By your rational, you would never let a rookie play ever, because he never did anything in the pros. Like I said, no one here is saying Duclair has earned a permanent spot, just give the kid a chance.

You also keep saying we were a cup team last year, but you do realize the whole team isnt coming back? There are holes from, Pouliot, Boyle, Richards, Carcillo/Dorsett. Someone new has to fill them.

Where a player is selected in the draft has zero bearing on what their teammate think about him.

Jobs are on the line every season. Why does this one rookie make a difference? Every year the organization is trying to win the cup.

He's looked great against actual NHL competition and that is all the proof I need to this point.

Plus, do you think you know more about player development than a proven NHL head coach like Alain Vigneault?

Yep, if this dude's mentality held some sort of weight the Oilers and Panthers would be juggernauts.

Thankfully, neither are the case.

Its not being rushed. Its a chance, no more, no less. He earned a chance. Its up to him to do something with it. I think your being extremely stubborn about just giving someone a chance.

I don't believe anyone has called/tagged him as a phenom. You are being completely stubborn on your opinion and are not taking a second to actually read what others have been saying. This kid has played better than most on the rangers during preseason against NHL/AHL talent. There are spots to be taken on the roster and the players that have shown the most will EARN those spots. Every player whether rookie/invite/veteran has an equal shot to show they deserve to be on the team.

According to your philosophy of a player not having any NHL experience has no grounds to make a team, no young prospects would ever make it to the nhl unless there was a catastrophic injury of a roster player or the team is ranked in the bottom tier of the nhl.

Your ideas/opinions are flawed and based on random facts that don't support a well structured argument.

plus your English is awful and frustratingly hard to follow.

knute rockne said it 1st not u... this is pro hockey ? u expect pros proven to drop and run for a 19 flash ...whats that say about the team ,this kid from no where aint nothing except a spring trainign story what a dreamer ,he will be crying for his mama by xmas if he satyed which he wont or i completely misjudge caliber -depth -committment -and talent
- Dundee13

If Duclair is in over his head, we send him back to juniors. But, if he can hang with the big boys, there's no reason to cut him. And the new vets have proven nothing to the Rangers yet. Sure, they have a track record elsewhere, but if that's all they are relying on, then they will be in trouble. Duclair deserves a shot at the very least. The new vets will be given every opportunity to earn a spot. BUT THEY HAVE TO EARN IT!
